Disney Y.E.S. Program

The YES tickets are tyvek no matter where you pick them up. They're what I consider the "regular" ticket media, as that's what we've received when purchasing MYW tickets from UCT, YES, Homeschool Days, and even Disney, if we bought them and had them mailed prior to our trip (not as part of a package). Our APs were tyvek, as are the MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets.

I don't understand why people seem to object to the tyvek tickets. We've never had a problem with them and they make a nice addition to the scrapbook after the trip is over. :thumbsup2

Yes, it's always been the "regular" media in the past, although I believe Disney still sent plastic card tickets in the mail if you had them delivered...at least they used to. Our MVMCP mailed tickets were plastic cards last time we went (got will call this year, so don't know.

It's not the regular ticket media any more though. The regular tickets are now RFID cards for the most part. Older tickets still do work, but you can only use the old turnstiles to enter, of which there are only a couple at each park.

Yes, the RFID is changing everything LOL. I'm still not sure what I think of all the changes. I'll have to reserve judgement until after this year's trip, and maybe even until after next year's, because I know it will take some time for them to work all the bugs out. :crazy2:

I don't think we have any old tickets left.

We are here right now! We went to DTD and picked up our Yes tickets. They were plastic. They had a little trouble trying to find our reservation for the Yes program, so I don't know if that is why we got plastic instead of the other kind? BTW we did have to put our finger prints on the card. I heard in the past we just showed our card with no finger prints but this must have changed?

When we went to MK we accidently ended up at the RFID turnstiles and they had CM's there with hand scanners to scan them for us.:goodvibes

Forgive me for probably a reapeat question. We are staying at AoA and I know they use the new RFID technology for bldg, room, pool entrance...can we have our YES tickets put on them?

Currently no, they cannot be placed on a KTTW card. However, you CAN get an RFID-enabled card for the ticket itself.

I was looking on the website. Is disney youth stopping the program? We used this last year and Loved It! It said the last class was 6/24/2013. I sure hope I read this wrong. Does anyone know the official news?

Thanks,
Lori

I know for a fact that there are classes through October 30. I have seen them. I'm not sure where you looked. Try this page (hope this works):

Just got back a little while ago from Epcot.
Dh did Synergy in Science with 6 y.o. ds, they were done at 11:30. The class I took while my older 2, Everyday Chemistry ran a little over due to having to stand in the stand-by line at MS as the CM would not let our group do the FP line, even though the other EC group did use it. We got done at 11:55.

My 14 y.o ds ranked the class a 7.5 out of 10 and my 10 y.o. dd thought it was a 9 out of 10. I would rank it an 7. I thought Wild By Nature at AK was much better.
We did ride Ellen's Energy and MS green side.

Dh did Synergy in Science with 6 y.o. ds. Dh ranked it a 7 our of 10, ds ranked it 9 out of 10. They rode Journey/Figment and SE.

Any questions?

Are there ever classes during the first couple of weeks of March? I only see classes listed through Oct. now.

Not that I know of. They've been offering classes January through mid February, and June through October.

Forgive me if it has already been answered, but I just couldn't search through almost 200 pages, lol.

If I take my 6yr old for the home school day in Oct, because it says all ages, can I sign up my 3yr old for it as well in order to get the discounted tix for all of us? (the two kids and 2 adults) just want to make sure I'm doing it right and don't get told we can't use them once we get there.

Absolutely! All ages is all ages : )

I have a quick question~
If we sign up for a class ( individual enrollment) and get the Premium ticket, how many days can you go to the waterparks? We are there for 8 nights and know we want at least 2 WP visits. It's tough not to add on days when its only $10 more for another day- just in case- but I don't want to go crazy either.
Thanks!

The same number of park days.:)

Do you mean a six day ticket has 6 waterpark visits, effectively giving us 12 days worth of admissions???
