Disney World Tickets Start Date

I am planning to purchase 6 day base tickets to Disney World (9/22 - 9/27). I understand that they can be used within 9 days of the start date. Tickets are around $30 cheaper for a start date of 9/19 vs 9/22. Could I purchase for 9/19 and not use the tickets until 9/22? We are a family of 5 so the savings could go toward something else on our trip. TIA!

Are you buying the tickets on their own or as part of a resort package?

Yes, for stand alone tickets that's fine as long as the tickets remain valid for the days you want to use them.
Package tickets will automatically begin on arrival (check-in) day.
