Disney World is BROKEN!

Some kind of ism. Definitely tongue in cheek.

I too remember the days before FP. I feel that the FP made the lines slower. What ever happened to just waiting your turn???:confused3

You can't spend any money if you're standing in a ride line... that's what.

People have had their cheese moved and are not happy about it.

Yes, we have. But I'm willing to wait until many others have tried it before I nibble.

No Disney World is not broken. It is doing exactly what Disney wants it to do. Make gobs of money.

It is your problem that you spent $100 for 3 rides or can't find a chair at the pool or dinner seating or if you have to plan your ride order 6-mo in advance... (sarcasm)

LOL. You hit the nail on the head!!

People here seem to be under the mistaken impression that Disney really puts people first and cares much about what you think. Their #1 aim (as it is for all corporations) is to make money and LOTS OF IT. And as long as people remain obsessed with everything Disney and are willing to put up with anything that the corporation throws at them, Disney will continue to pull in the $$$.

Whether or not you are happy is NOT their chief concern. And it certainly won't ever be, as long as you continue to visit and spend money, despite every new change that makes your park experience less and less fun.

The only thing that might actually force some changes in the idiotic new FP system is if Disney's revenues at WDW start to drop. But, hey, so many people seem willing to be treated like sheep and pay outrageous, ever-increasing prices for an experience that is not as "magical" as it once was, I highly doubt the revenues will drop.

Same mentality is what drives people to vote into office, again and again, politicians who do not have their best interests at heart. People often act like sheep. They don't think for themselves and they are afraid to speak out when things aren't right.

There is an old saying "You get the government you deserve." Well, I guess you could also say "You get the Disney you deserve."

But why do you get to tell me if an experience is any more or less "magical" for me? I'm sorry that WDW has lost the magic for you- it has not lost the magic for me. I am very happy getting "the Disney I deserve." I very much still enjoy the parks, resorts and restaurants (if the combination didn't appeal to us so much we wouldn't visit).

Well, if your definition of a "magical" time in the parks is paying ever-higher ticket and food prices, waiting much longer in line for rides than previously (whether FP or standby), being severely limited as to how many times you can ride your favorite rides, trying to work with an app that often malfunctions, being treated like a third-class citizen if you stay off-site, . . . . . (I could go on but these are probably the highlights), then I guess our ideas of what "magical" means are VERY far apart. And you are more than welcome to partake of your version of "magical".

I will be visiting WDW once more this Spring. I have visited 7 times previously and each trip was wonderful. But, if my upcoming vacation is as stressful and disappointing as I'm afraid it might be (given what others are reporting about this "magical" new FP system), then it will be my last trip to the land of "magic" unless the FP system is changed.

I sincerely hope I am proven totally wrong because, I'm spending a small fortune to go there and stay onsite. But it will be the last time Disney takes any of my money and gives me back a lot less than what I had gotten on previous visits.

I think we should adopt that as the official slogan of the DIS. Truer words have never been spoken. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 This is how I feel every time I read one of these threads. I'm sad that people don't feel the magic anymore but at the same time I'm confused because for me everything about the parks is magical. I'm sure a lot of it is familiarity, the more someone does something the less special it becomes, I'm still new to the Disney parks so everything is still new and exciting and everywhere I turn there's magic.

I started vacationing in Las Vegas 15 years ago and loved it so much I moved here 10 years ago. I still love the city but despise gambling, drinking, clubs, etc., basically everything that used to draw me here I now find boring and overpriced, tens of millions of people still come here every year but for me the Vegas magic is gone.

But until you have experienced it like a lot of others have then you will never know that feeling or understand it. It's not the same as buying a Led Zeppelin concert shirt in the 70's and being upset that it doesn't fit you the same way now. :)

Right back at ya'. This statement works both ways. When someone says, "I no longer enjoy going to Disney", the counter argument of, "Well, I think Disney is the greatest place on earth", isn't doing any good. Someone who is done with it doesn't care how you feel. You shouldn't care how they feel. Its all pointless.

I'm in the FP+ Haters Club, but honestly these conversations are 15 pages of useless banter. It's like trying to argue politics and religion. No one is ever going to change their mind, people are just wasting their breath.

I don't understand.

Has Disney never cared about making people happy, or is it a new thing exclusively related to FP+ that makes them not care?

I don't think they would be anywhere as successful as they are if they hadn't put peoples happiness at the forefront of their business.

They are raking in money, "LOTS OF IT", by not caring about their customers happiness? To me that doesn't even make sense.

Yes, we all know they are a business, but I'd submit they are in the business of making people happy.

On one hand you claim that Disney is all dollars and cents and doesn't give a whit about their customers, on the other hand you say they are wildly successful with Disney-obsessed customers. You may be under the mistaken impression that those 2 things go hand in hand, they don't.
