Disney World before Miami cruise

We did this a few years ago. Flew into MCO since it was cheaper to fly into Orlando, rent a car, and drive than it was to fly into Miami or Fort Lauderdale. We stayed at AKL, went to MNSSHP, and the next morning drove to Miami. We returned the car to MIA and rode the Alamo shuttle to the port.

I think it is doable but would recommend doing the parks after the cruise. I always worry we'll catch a bug at the parks and be denied boarding or quarantined on the ship (this happened to our DH on our land/sea trip and it was no fun).
