On another post, a poster noted that the staterooms aboard the Wonder were refreshed last year ... what exactly was done ... new TV's, carpets, bedding, mattresses? How do people like the "new" staterooms (on par with the Fantasy?). With the dry dock coming up this year (following the thread), just wondering if it will be less than what the Magic underwent when it was in dry dock as apparently all the Magic staterooms were updated. Thanks.

New carpets, new queen bed, new refrigerators. Whatever needed doing to update the rooms.

The Wonder did a sort of "rolling dry dock" related to the stateroom changes just prior to her Panama Canal cruise this year.

The major re-imagining of the Magic was in many other areas besides the staterooms.

I would think that, while there won't be any major changes in the staterooms during her upcoming dry dock, the rooms will get the "once over" to keep things in shape. That would be replacing anything that's had unusual wear in the last year, at least. As well as any painting/grouting/wood finishing necessary.

Thanks PrincessShmoo ... we've only cruised aboard the Fantasy (when with Disney) which remains one of our favorite ships of all to cruise on ... but would like a change of pace from the Eastern/Western Caribbean so looking at the Wonder after dry dock as one possibility. It's good to see individuals like yourself still around ... I first started on DIS Boards back in 1999 and have been off/on since then whenever we have a Disney holiday planned - a lot has changed (for better or for worse) - but it's great to always get answers from those who keep abreast of all things Disney :)

The only difference I notice between the new and old ships are the showers. While the fantasy/dream have the round showers with the overhead shower head, the wonder is like a hotel tub & shower with a regular shower head.
