Have you ever heard of the "Mile High Club" ? From what I read on the board cruises have a similar type of club exclusive to room with venrendas...

Wow, you guys have been busy today! Jen, sorry about the guy; I'm going to go through my mental list & see if I know anyone good for you. Lori, sorry about the job. Rebekah- yeah about the tree! I have 4 trees in my house & one is in my bedroom so I understand. My goal is a tree in each guest room too since I usually have guests around then; I have 3 guest rooms so some of you might need to share, unls you want a couch (and the Disney tree is in the entry/living room so you can't fight over that room).

Remind me what time we are meeting on deck 7 so the loser that I am (who isn't getting there early enough) can finally meet my new BFFs?!?!

Someone asked if we were doing Palo. Not this time, We did it last time and it was great, but I think we liked brunch better so we are going to stick to the main dining this time & save Palo for brunch next cruise. And DH wants to try some of the other options as well. Plus, that way I don't have to pack a fancy dress (and since we are cramming so much else into this trip I'm trying to minimize luggage).

I just got roped into wokring another shift tomorrow. bad news is I'm here until midnight tonight & back at 8am BUT good news is CRUISE MONEY!!!

You are all my new BFFs (DH doesn't get it) so don't be offended by DHs occasional anti social ways (not sitting with you guys). He's a good boy but not always the most social and I amuse him occasionally, since he amuses me ALOT - Like my love of Disney (although he is really coming around about that!)

Now, off to find some of those chill pills AKA peanut M&Ms. Although I do like the new pretzels ones an awful lot!!

How did we "great personality types" end up with such "anti social husbands"? I don't like it when people think my hubby is stuck up. I'm just glad there will be another one. My hubby's a great guy just quiet, not loud and obnoxious like I am.

My new neighbors yelled at me to keep my dog off their property a while back. They had been very nice people when they moved in so I was puzzled and called to ask what the problem was. She said "it's not going to work out." Her hubby was mad at us and we couldn't be friends because my husband didn't wave at them when he drove by. Can you say TV sitcom.

I hope your work day is a good one and just think about the awesome sleep you'll get tonight.

MAKE SURE TO CLOSE YOUR CURTAINS WHEN YOU ARE DRESSING OK????" Yeah I agree about the Clorox part. I am going out at lunch to get me some. EWWWW!!!

Talked to Verizon today and activated our phones for international use.

I hope it was the right thing to do. I found out to text in the Bahamas is 50 cents to send and 5 cents to receive. I think they got the receiving part wrong but I asked her to double check and she said it was accurate. Either way if we need it, it is way cheaper than a set of 2-way radios for $50. I didn't activate Emma's phone for fear of an accident, her phone won't even work there but if I feel she may be in a position to need to text me I'll give her one of DH or my phones.

Oh and Victoria is CONVINCED that she is getting a phone either on the cruise, or after it. She has some money that I saved for her. We were going on a church camp but with some attitudes that were flying in the childrens department, we decided on NOT going so I took the money we would have spent on that, for her to spend on the cruise. Of course, I will monitor it so she doesnt blow $200 in the arcade! But she thinks if she saves $100 then she can get a phone. I said "it has nothing to do with money dear. It is your age! You are not turning 10 until NEXT year...not this year" but that does not stop her from thinking she will get one. I was going to get her one for her birthday but now it wont be a surprise it will be a given. I am still debating on what to do. If I get her a phone through my plan, I figured that $10 a month for her to have a "toy" is less than what I spend now on toys I buy her. But I didnt realize that she basically had her own contract and she is tied in for 2 years on her own. Not just an addition to my plan. I always thought that if she looses the phone no big deal, I will just disconnect her line but she will have it for 2 years. I went to look at the pay phones at walmart but the $20 ones are not good for her to text on (I figured that would be her most popular thing) and the one that DOES text well, like my NV2 or whatever it is called, that is $100 but you get a LOT of minutes and texts for that. I dunno. What to do...what to do.

Oh yeah! We got an answer in the appeal in the Israeli supreme court today and we lost....so I most likely will be without a job in the next 6 monts give or take (hostile takeover)....Great way to start off the week, huh?

Still sorry about your job loss but wanted to say, HAPPY ROSH HASHANAH! (I am not sure if you are Jewish or not but thought you would be affected by it) Isnt this like Christmas (meaning the biggest celebration of the year)?

I don't know why she has to have a 2 yr contract. If you use one of your old ones or go to ebay and buy a phone cheep there is no contract to activate your own phone. I have a friend, her daughter just got her 4th phone in 5 months... keeps breaking, water damage, loosing them.... I know... I don't even want to go there, it's stupid. This girl is 16/17 and keeps buying knew ones off ebay for not very much.

You could activate one of your old ones and tell her that when she shows that she is responsible with it for at least 6mo(or maybe until her 10th birthday) you will get her a special one.

For the surprise... tell her that you will see about activating a cell phone when you get back from your trip. That it will be a used cell phone and she will have to go through a trial period to show you that she is responsible with it and that in NO way will you even discuss doing it before the trip...(in no way discuss .. is not a lie). The day you leave present her with the phone. You would most likely need an old one of yours to do this because you have little to no time to buy one. Or see if a friend has an old one you could have.

It's the Jewish New Year and one of two high holy days for the Jewish religion. Interestingly enough I was raised Jewish but my family was not religious really and in college I renounced all organized religion. Now I'm an atheist. I know some of you guys are pretty religious, so you can just refer to me as the heathen of the group.

Yeah I called them and they said to add someone on your plan, they will have a 2 year contract that isnt tied with when my contract expired etc. I was like wha??? I was going to give her my phone and get me a new one since I am up for early new phone or something like that. It would restart my 2 year contract I think which isnt a big deal. But then I have another pink chocolate that I had before I got this one. I used it when I lost mine and it worked just fine. Thankfully, someone found it and was nice enough to return it. So if she loses that one, for good, then I have the pink chocolate and then mom still has hers before she got a new one, Razer or something like that. (can you tell I am not on top of the cell phone technology?? lol) We can let her have that one. Of course, there will be about a month without a phone before she gets a new phone.
