So you can ONLY stay at the resort you bought under with DVC points?

Also, did you get the 1BR with the same points as the studio since they didnt have any or did you have to spend the points normally for a 1 BR?

No, you can stay at whatever DVC resort you want to, but you can book your home resort at 11 months out and all others at 7 months out, so depending on when you're travelling, where you want to stay etc. sometimes the 11 months window really helps!

No, you use whatever points the room "costs". So, I used points for a 1br at BWV not a studio....

You can stay whereever you want, you just can book sooner at your home resort than you can at the other resorts. That's what I love about DVC is I can book whichever resort and whatever room/condo size.

I really wish I would have known this when I got married.. I think they had it. I could have payed outright for it. I would be nice to go back in time because not only would I load up on point but on Non expiring tickets as well!!!!

Here it is!! MY FE...all complete!! It only took me and my mom over 8 hours to complete it. We worked on it all day Saturday! But I LOVE the way it turned out!!!

Here it is!! MY FE...all complete!! It only took me and my mom over 8 hours to complete it. We worked on it all day Saturday! But I LOVE the way it turned out!!!

Hahaha!! quick?? No no no, we worked on it from 10 am until 5 pm both of us, and then she worked on it for another 2 hours and about 30 mins yesterday. So I guess 7 hrs each, plus the other time is like 16 hours. I didn't think it was quick at all. I felt bad taking up her entire day working on this. Now that we know exactly what we wanted, I bet we could do it in a few hours. This one was all my creation. I had a vision in my head of what I wanted it to look like, and this is it! I am so in love with it!!!

HAHA! You are a great disney person! I have all the imagination, I just don't have the patience to deliver usually!!! If my mom hadn't helped me, I would have given up after like 15 mins. I like instant gratification!!!

I just got off the phone with DVC. I wish I could do it but it really isn't for us. I found out that there is no depreciation in points over time. What cost 100 points today will cost that 30 yrs from now. And that is why the maintenance costs go up each yr. They told me on the phone the increase is generally 3% - 5%. I would love to cruise regularly but besides the money we just don't have the time. In the coming years I want to do Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, the Grand Cannon, and California just for my daughter. I've had 35 of the States under my belt since I was 20 years old and said that I was going to have all 50 by the time I was 25, well that deadline passed a long time ago and I haven't gotten any of them. I only have the eastern seaboard and I'm hoping to get a few in the next couple of years. When I think of it that way, Disney just kind of goes by the way side.
