Disney Wonder - Sept 30 2010 3 Night Bahamas

I'll tell him Happy Bday... Got to head out and buy a card and gift on my lunch. Nothing like waiting to the last minute... I think for the last 6 mths of this year, I'm going to start saying I'm 30ish. Got to delay the 40ish as much as possible.

Ohh... On the list, can you correct the spelling on Aubrey's name... the "e" was left out.

Have a good one!

Took me forever but I got it.:goodvibes
And yes we are in for a good time!!!!
P.S. I AM Not Shy!!!!.... so if you are, better act as if you don't know me. Oh and will you let my hubby hide with you. :rotfl2:

Well, my hubby will fit right in with you. I swear if the wall would talk, he would talk to it...

You guys have a great day!

I have been accused of that myself. But I am soooo weird. I am very shy at first and sometimes, there are people I have a hard time carrying on a conversation with. Some people, I dont. I have no idea what my deal is, but I always worry who I will have problems talking to. Does that make sense? lol

Is it Karma as to why we seem to match up so well. It's amazing how we seem to all be the same type of people. I think this will turn out Grand. :thumbsup2

Hi al!

Does anyone know what the minimum amount of $ you have to put on your OBA thingy is?
(that would be on board account thingy)
Thanks!

I thought it was $300 but now read it's $500? So, I'm not sure...(hopefully we'll have plenty but we're doing the saving crunch the next 2 months and I need to budget pretty carefully!)

I have never heard anything about this before.

I assumed it was like the KTTW at WDW. Charge it back to the room :confused3

I thought if you were using cash, then you put down what you wanted to spend, and once your charges to the account hit that limit they suspended the account and sent you a notice to your room to put more money on the account. Didn't realize there was a limit. I do know they tell you they don't recommend you using your debit card as your form of payment. It actually reserves the funds at that time and there have been issues with people's bank accounts bouncing because the funds are reserved. For some reason debit cards reserve funds different than the credit cards. Can't remember how it was explained exactly.

Oh bummer.... are they suppose to send us info on the rules and reg of cruising... I haven't received anything and I'm a newbie. I hate how Disney doesn't give out the info then you're just screwed.

I went over on the Onboard Account thread and it just confused me because everyone has a different thought. I would call Disney Cruise and ask them...

Okay.... Just got off the phone with them...

The minimum amount on the Wonder is $200 per stateroom. You can put as much money on the account as you want via cash or personal check. If you want to, you can go to guest services on the ship to establish an limit for each guest in the room if you want.

As the account accumulates $200 in charges, it is charged against the cash or personal check that you put on the account. If you max out the cash that you put down, the account is put on hold and you are sent a notice that you have used your cash.

If you use a credit card, this is different, and I really didn't ask about that portion. They do a reserve and give you a credit limit against the card.

Hope this helps.

Steph-
Thanks! This was the kind of info I was looking for! I wonder what happens if you leave more cash then you actually spend? You'd have to get it back, right?

We only have a small credit line on both of our credit cards...maybe what we'll do is use one of them so we know how much we can spend...OR use cash...it's very confusing actually unless you have a cc with like a huge credit line etc. (which we don't have).

Our excursions alone I think will be $330.....hmmm...I really have to figure this out! I don't want to be counting pennies etc on-board! :headache:
