Clinique Dramatically Different Facial Moisturizer. My
mom wouldn't let me wear make-up until I was 16. Then it was only clinique so I was basically hooked.The 3 step program is great for sensitive skin and does am amazing job with acne. Well worth the price tag. Hey it's your face and you are stuck with it forever!

Okay, I understand the security conscious but I pose this one question: If your kids are not with you or in the kids club-where will they be? I hope if they are roaming the ship by themselves they are old enough to do so and would be in a group. I believe the Aruba disaster would have been avioded if her friends would have stayed with her &/or convinced her what a bad idea it is to go somewhere alone with complete strangers. She was alone. If they are old enough, I hope that the parents have warned them about strangers and how to handle those situations. A Disney cruise would be a great place to be if you are a pedophile (sp?) So essentially the rules for your kids shouldn't necessarily change on DCL. Do you allow your child to be photographed at school and put in the yearbook? This is the same thing. That info is public property and can be viewed by anyone. Someone could easily guess your kids age by the grade they are in.

I think it's a tough question. The world we live in has become so dangerous. I think you have to portect your kids however best you can. I would perfectly understand of someone wanting to be cautious but I also understand that people want to share. I believe that for the most part, the majority of people are good. Unfortunately, the media & the public are fascinated with the bad & the ugly. I believe, although I am sure this is naive, that the people on the news represent the minority. We need to careful of them but not live our lives in fear of them. Just my honest opinion.

Here's my reply. Yes, we take chances posting our personal information for EVERY ONE to see. I have no problem making XX's or omitting information to the public list if some one wants me to do that. I like the idea of having an e-mail "tree" as well. That's an excellent suggestion. Maybe we could say, some thing like, if you are crusing with us, PM TKD and let us know you will be cruising and she'll let you know who else is cruising with you. And on our cruise thread we could just keep a tally of how many DIS are cruising. That could work too. I'm thinking kinda crazy right now, so excuse me.

Maybe your way will start a new posting trend for future cruise meet boards. Listing who all is cruising on the meets thread is so common (and possibly tradition), but security is so much more a priority since there are weirdos out there (like me- ha ha ha just kidding!).

Just a side note and I don't want to scare you all, but did you know that if you type in your DIS login name in Yahoo you can find your DIS profile and possible other posts you've left? That's kind of freaky.

I have no problem leaving my family's info on our master list. Umm, I have to cut this short, I was working on reviewing this post, but I am just viewing a tornado watch on our t.v. I ahve to log off so that I can stay informed and prepare just in case..... Keep our family in your thoughts.

e Do you allow your child to be photographed at school and put in the yearbook? This is the same thing. That info is public property and can be viewed by anyone. Someone could easily guess your kids age by the grade they are in.

I have to say, I think it's a little different. It can be viewed by anyone who has access to that school's yearbook. Posting my kids' names, ages and cabin numbers on these boards is giving way more information to the "world" so to speak, than say a yearbook with just a picture and name. The yearbook is not accessible via the world wide web.

As for the this thread, I have posted information that really isn't necessary. Will it make our meeting in person any less interseting if you don't know my kids' names and cabin numbers until we meet face to face? Not really. To be honest, will you remember these details? Probably not, the fun is in putting a name to a face...and personality.

Sorry, I am not trying to start a major debate, I just find it a very interesting topic that maybe should given some attention. I guess it all comes down to what we each feel comfortable with.

Hey, how does this whole "announcing names" thing work for the ships?
Like, I'm not going with a family or anything so how do they announce it?
I find it a little strange.

It reminds me of my Junior Prom.. they "announced" me and my boyfriend as Lord and Lady Smith (his last name!) before we could go inside..
