Where is every one!? It's only 12:30 a.m.

Don't worry, I'll be crashing soon.
I was the hesitant one to cruise
DCL last year (maybe God should've made me a guy

). Me, being the pesimist that I am thought I wouldn't have a good time. I felt I'd be some what "stuck" watching the kids. I wasn't even thinking about the other ammenties, the food, what the ship had to offer, I was thinking of the kids. Any way, I also thought my DH would spoil the surprise of cruising since he kept telling me details off of Daves DCL tribute site. He'd tell me about the food and what was on the menu! I didn't think I'd like the shows either for some reason-can't remember why. I didn't think I'd be surprised once we boarded.
I WAS WRONG. My whole perspective changed once I got past the gangway and they announced our names. Seeing the Wonder lobby was just the thing to get the chip off my shoulders. I wished we could've done more excursions, but due to our kids ages (2,3,4) at the time walking or sitting any where for long periods of time would've been impossible.
We're thinking about taking the kids to Atlantis or doing the dolphin thing in Nassau. Me, this time around I want to spend more time on the ship exploring. I didn't see the secret verandah or do any of the onboard activities like the bridge tour. Like I stated before, I plan on staying up later and waking earlier so I can see the sunrise (maybe)

or just explore the ship more.
I really think as the cruise gets going those who are hesitant or reluctant about crusing will soften up and change their minds. DCL is truly family and oriented. It's different thinking about a cruise on paper, web, video- whatever. Besides, most men's emotions are diffent than ours right ladies? My guy likes facts and figures and I want to see the proof. So, maybe that's what these guys need is "proof" of how great DCL is and can be. I don't know about other cruise lines, but for right now DCL is the best choice for our family despite the cost.
Kerry, try and think of excurisons Kevin might like to do. Maybe he'll want to do the sting ray thing at CC or maybe an excursion in Nassau. A nice bonding activity for the three of you would be good too. Even just being in the DCL arcade is fun. The games are a little old, but my kids didn't care. I was all goo-goo over Ms. Pac-Man. LOL! Guys think differently, try suggesting to Kevin to check out Davesdcltribute dot com. The site is a little dated as Dave is no longer updating his website, but there's some fantastic information/stats about both ships Kevin might want to check out. Maybe that would get his interest going.
All we can do is hope for the best as time gets closer and closer. So, here's a lot of PD for all our traveling family members
I'm crashing, good night all.
BTW- my kids are on Fall break, so, things are a little crazy around here during the day.
We'll be resuming costume hunting tomorrow-
.
Hope all of what I typed makes sense. At least, I hope my main thoughts came out. I feel like I'm cramming for a test, I'm so tired, but all I want to do is type type type-dang it! Thank good ness for my favorite "edit" button, if any thing, I'll edit things later today.....
O.k., I'm really signing off now.
