We're all family folk....some of my best friends are single or have no kids...and they're like family to me! I couldn't live without 'em! No offense taken here.

I should have prefaced that I did not read all the posts.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

But, had you seen that website with Pirate Party ideas? I think some of those ideas would make a great bon voyage party before the cruise!!

You know, it's funny, I have gotten emails from that website but I haven't gone to it lately. The pirate ideas are really cute, thanks for the suggestion of checking it out!

I honestly don't know why we chose the early seating...probably because Tammy has two little kids and it would work better for her. My kids are lucky if they eat dinner by 9 pm (when there's no school of course, otherwise DD6 really needs to get her tail into bed earlier than that!) We are night people to the end. During the summer, I can't get her to bed before 11....bad mom, I know. I don't really mind though, when there's no school and she can sleep later in the a.m. She is on her teenage brothers' schedule. Who knows though, school will already have started for us (August 8th) . Schedules will be different. Maybe the activities will wear my kids out so that DH and I have a little adult time. Now THAT would be something! (I can only hope! )

I am in the same situation. My DH works long hours also. I kept going back and forth on this. It will be fun to see everyone at dinner. The only good thing is we will be at WDW for a couple of days so we will get used to the time change.

DH and I would love late seating. However my BIL and SIL are both morning people and specifically requested early. Plus this being our first cruise with DS - it will be good for him as he likes to eat earlier. As he gets older DH and hope he's a night person like us.

All us "family folks" are not your stereotypical boring, go to bed at 9pm kind of folks! I am hoping to convince some of the group to do an "adults only" meet in Wavebands on 80's night. I love 80's music. Ahhh, the memories

Holy cow I missed a lot in the last few days!

Now that I'm actually participating in the t-shirts, I vote for the map. I was in K-Mart trying to pick up cheap tank tops and found a lime green one, so I'm set. I don't know what the rest of the family is going to do, but I'm good to go.

Patsy, I'm so sorry to hear about Micheal's loss. Let us know if there's anything we can do. I'm a bit slow, so you might have to give me instructions, but I'm here to help.

Lunamum, no insult taken. I don't mind single people as long as they can stand being around my kids.

Kerry, I'm a child of the 80's, so I'm happy to go on 80's night. As to whether I'll dance...I'm not sure if anyone wants to see me jiggling.

I'm Erica, my husband is Lionel, and this will be our second time on the Wonder. We're hoping for a trip on the Magic next year! Can't wait.....why can't they just rent out apartments on the ships?

We'll be ordering remeberance bracelets for our cruise. Please contact LCT'sMom or Blackunicorn if you are interested in placing an order for your group. The color of the bands will be lime green and the phrase will be, _ _ _ _ .


We've made a key of smilies indicating who is participating in what. There isn't any pressure to join or not join an activity. The whole point of the cruise is to have fun and relax, but wouldn't it be great to have fun and relax together?!

6/14/06Just to let you know, LCTsMom is collecting a list of detailed cruiser information (cabin #s, or at least floor locations) and cell phone numbers. Why cell phone numbers? So that we can be in contact with you if you are traveling. And if we have any eminent weather prior to embarking the Wonder all the more reason to be in contact with one another. Right?

Ideally, if one or two of you could be in contact with DCL (since one may not get the same answer from one DCL agent) He/she will start the calling tree to communicate with those on the detailed list. Do you catch what I am saying? I hope I'm typing this right.

For instance, if Piecey could be our DCL person (since she's already in FLA) she would call me and who ever and then the two of us would call down our list. Kinda like a pyramid scheme, but I promise not to sell you any thing.
