Hi all! I just want to remind you if we get enough to participate we'll have a judging on our pirate costumes, gear, creativity, etc. what ever Captn Logan says. So, let me hear an Aarrrggg for dressing up on pirate night.

LUCKY YOU!! We have never been sure enough of our vacation schedules or finances to book while on board. I got the impression that the cost varies depending on the promotion at the time and what season you choose to cruise next.

I hear you. We barely know what we're doing tomorrow. This cruise has been in the works for us for over two years! There's a very slim chance we'll be able to rebook while on board. But hey, since DH was asking, I figured let me come up with the correct info. We all dream big in my family. :goodvibes

I just got Palo brunch & dinner reservations and booked excursions! I can't believe it worked! Thank you DISboard folks for the great tips! :cool1:

......and now, off to bed. I have to drive Logan to work in three hours. :guilty:

What time is everyone (that's going) doing brunch on Wednesday? I was offered 10 and 12. Were those the only times offered?

Hi everyone,

Is anyone just going to do a little shopping in Nassau? My friend and myself were thinking of doing this and letting the older DD and DH go do an excursion. Is it safe for us to shop alone?

We have always (3) times gone into the Starw market and through the center of town near the ship. We have had zero problems and have seen police each time on patrol. we even did it at night with our kids and it was fine.

:dance3: AND Good morning sleepy heads who made their ressies this morning! Glad things worked out for you all! For those who did not get what they wanted right away I would keep trying to make ressie you weren't able to get (people will cancel). Or wait until boarding:surfweb: <--- :teleport: ---> :surfweb:. How'd you feel right before 3:AMish was it an, on your mark, get set, go kind of feeling??

We were able to make reservations just barely (before our 90 day mark expired). I was on pins and needles! We'll be having Palo brunch on Wed. 12N and Palo dinner on the second night. THAT BETTER NOT BE PIRATE NIGHT! I've got plans! :stir:

Dreams are good. They help us make it through the garbage of daily life at times.
Did you call DCL to find out what will be available during our cruise for rebooking incentives?

Logan's 15 and he works at a retirement home cooking and serving. He has been there a year and he loves it! :thumbsup2

As for rebooking, I think it's pretty much cut and dry...it's $200 per person for the shorter cruises, and $250 for the longer. Not sure about the specialty cruises.

We bookeed Palo dinner for the first night (not sure if that will even be doable for us). Our brunch reservations are a bit screwy, we have two cabins so when I booked the first brunch, I got the 12:00 slot, when I went back under the other confirmation number, only the 10:00 was available. I hope I'll be able to switch one so we can be together (there are three of us). Has anyone had any experience doing that?

Our family is doing the Stingray excursion on CC and I also booked my two boys for snorkeling and the banana boat ride.

DD is all registered for the kids club so we're good to go! :thumbsup2 It seems more real to me now. :Pinkbounc

I wanna snorkle at CC too. I'm hoping to buy my own gear, but do I have to officially sign up so I can see the Mickey statue etc? Oh geez, did I screw myself up??? :badpc:

We've bought our own snorkel stuff too. I've read you don't have to officially book for this, just grab a vest when you get there (I've read it may or may not cost a small fee for vest).

I booked brunch at 12 under my ressie and at 10 under DH's ressie (please don't flame me, I'm canceling ASAP). Which one do I keep? Wish I knew what the kids could be doing at those times. I know at noon they would go do lunch with the Lab, but don't know if we want to eat that late. :confused3 What to do, what to do.

I haven't signed up to be linked for dinner yet. What's that all about? Are most of us signed up for main dining? Would we have a large group together? It really does seem a little more real now!

I think its tougher to plan since some times are not listed listed on the navigators now. I don't have to know every thing, but approximations would be nice.

If you pick 12 we'll have brunch at the same time. We signed up to have my MIL with us. I look forward to looking out and seeing the ocean while eating at Palo.

OH, link your dining with us! Linking just means we'll be sitting near each other in the resturants. I don't know if any of our tables can be next to each other, but we'll all be in close proximity. I think linking our dining is another way for us to have our meets too (if we can't meet preboard, at the sail away, or on Nassau day). PM Ker-Bear (Kerry) if you are interested in linking. You'd make Kerry's day if you did!

I started a snorkling tip thread. I look forward to their posts as I've never snorkled before. Here's the link, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=13120070#post13120070

Our brunch is at 10AM and our dinner is also the 2nd night. Pirate night is supposedly on Castaway Cay night which would make it Night 3 - (I confirmed this by Passporter and previous scanned navigators.) If this changes then we will be cancelling our dinner and only doing the brunch. :(

We are doing the 1st Eco tour at 9:45AM. :Pinkbounc

Welcome to all new posters!! :cheer2:

Hi all!

Only 2 more days of school and then I should have more time to post. :sunny: My dh swears if I got paid for how much I volunteer at school we'd be rich :rotfl2:

We got 10:30 reservations for brunch. I love having dinner in the dining rooms as a family so we skipped making Palo reservations for dinner :goodvibes It's so hard to fit everything in on a 4 day cruise.

I also made reservations for my dh and two older dd's for the banana boat ride. My 6 year old is pretty bummed she can't go :sad2: she's such a fish :fish:

I'd be glad to help make the pirate goody bags I love to wake up early and get my 5 miles in in the am. I'm sure we could get it done very quickly so no one would miss out on anything :cool1: I've been looking online and I think I'm going to get sword pens, gold and silver bubble gum coins, and jewels!
My kids are thrilled with any and all junkity (is that a word  )stuff.

Hi to all the new posters! Yea!!! another 10 year old girl :cheer2: :cheer2:

6/14/06Just to let you know, LCTsMom is collecting a list of detailed cruiser information (cabin #s, or at least floor locations) and cell phone numbers. Why cell phone numbers? So that we can be in contact with you if you are traveling. And if we have any eminent weather prior to embarking the Wonder all the more reason to be in contact with one another. Right?

*IMPORTANT* FOR SAFETY SAKE. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING ON THE DETAILED LIST FOR CELL PHONE NUMBERS AND/OR STATEROOM NUMBERS DO NOT POST IT HERE. Please *e-mail* LCTsMOM your information. Thanks.

This has been a PSA for the 9/3/06 Wonder cruise. Tae Ja

Not entirely related but somewhat related:

I was reading about a DIS group on a recent trip report. One of the members in the group created a navigator that listed all the DISer's on the ship by user name, real name and cabin number so they could get in contact with one another. It also listed all the cruise meets, dining etc.

Would any of you be interested in doing this? If so, I have a great printer and could put this together and hand it out at the first meets. If you miss the meet, I will slide one under your door.

Let me know....
