Roethlisberger to be cited Steelers QB had wrong license, didn't wear helmet

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be cited for failure to wear a helmet and not having a motorcycle license after an accident last week left him with a concussion, broken jaw and nose.

Roethlisberger and the driver of the car he crashed into on June 12 both had the green light, but the driver of the vehicle will be cited for failing to yield, police said Monday.

Only licensed cyclists can ride without a helmet in Pennsylvania.

Roethlisberger was traveling 35 mph in a posted 35 mph zone, said officer Dan Connolly. There were no mechanical problems with either vehicle, he said.

Police Chief Dominic Costa said the woman driving the car had received some threatening phone calls, which police were investigating.

Shorter version: Still haven't found regular "Pirate" goodie bags. I have found (while shopping for DS's "Cars" b-day party) Pirate of the Carribean 2 party supplies which include goodie bags. I would like to get those if everyone thinks they are big enough.

Also, is everyone who is participating in the goodie bag thing linking dining? If not, how do we get the goodie bags to them? Also, when do we plan on putting all the bags together? Can you tell I need guidance?

On a final note: If anyone has any suggestions on how to make this waiting go faster and get me on the Wonder, I am

I think the POTC2 bags would be great but you're right, they may not be big enough. I am wondering if large ziploc bags would be better, or ever brown lunch bags? They have little treasure chest boxes. Not sure if those would be any better.

But one way or another, we'll have costumes. The biggest debate right now is whether I'll allow my husband to take up suitcase room with his fancy boots.

Except, I noticed that one of the suggestions is a copy of what someone else said they were thinking of purchasing, so don't take that one.

We'll be ordering remeberance bracelets for our cruise. Please contact LCT'sMom or Blackunicorn if you are interested in placing an order for your group. The color of the bands will be lime green and the phrase will be, _ _ _ _ .


We've made a key of smilies indicating who is participating in what. There isn't any pressure to join or not join an activity. The whole point of the cruise is to have fun and relax, but wouldn't it be great to have fun and relax together?!

6/14/06Just to let you know, LCTsMom is collecting a list of detailed cruiser information (cabin #s, or at least floor locations) and cell phone numbers. Why cell phone numbers? So that we can be in contact with you if you are traveling. And if we have any eminent weather prior to embarking the Wonder all the more reason to be in contact with one another. Right?

Ideally, if one or two of you could be in contact with DCL (since one may not get the same answer from one DCL agent) He/she will start the calling tree to communicate with those on the detailed list. Do you catch what I am saying? I hope I'm typing this right.

For instance, if Piecey could be our DCL person (since she's already in FLA) she would call me and who ever and then the two of us would call down our list. Kinda like a pyramid scheme, but I promise not to sell you any thing.

LUCKY YOU!! We have never been sure enough of our vacation schedules or finances to book while on board. I got the impression that the cost varies depending on the promotion at the time and what season you choose to cruise next.
