Yep, I have those gingered candies. Have you tried them yet? What do they taste like? I'm scared.

They're supposed to be quite good. I'm not fond of ginger at all, but a friend says that they're very sweet and even people who don't like ginger will like them. I figure that I *do* like ginger snaps, so if they taste anything like those I'm good to go. And if all else fails, the hubby will eat anything.

My MIL called today. She just heard about Ernesto. She ended up talking to my DH, but when she called me, I couldn't answer the phone. My phone started ringing in my purse and then I picked it up as quick as I could. I tried taking off the battery, but instead....SAT ON MY PHONE TO MUTE THE RING! I didn't know what else to do. My kids were like, Mom your phone is ringing and I kept whispering back I can't answer it right now....W/ the evil stare.

I've heard that Benadryl works well although it might make 'em sleepy. There might be children's Bonine. I've been taking Ginger capsules, wonder if there's something like that for kids????

Thanks. I was bringing Benadryl anyway and I have a pair of those wristbands, so I hope either thing will do the trick.

LOL! I've been downstairs working on the cursed pirate coat. My hubby made me so mad I put the trim on wrong and had to take it back off! I swear, if I get this coat done and all he says is, "Cool" I will hit the roof!

Its a children's song that hit the top 10 some where in WV. I thought of you immediately when the speaker said that. Its a song about Daniel and the Lion's Den.

I'm confused..
It hit the top 10 in WV? We're that pathetic? And here I thought we either had hicks that blared rap music or preps that listened to country twang and bluegrass...

The Lion's Den.. oh man. It's probably a joke. There are porn shops all over this part of the state known as the Lion's Den. It's a huge joke advertising on the radio, a couple goes on a Safari to find the "Lions Den" and ask the safari leader where the toys are and such.. and he starts telling them they're confused but that the Lion's den in Mineral Wells, WV has the largest selection of blah, blah, blah.
I can see people being boring enough that they request it as a joke..

Well, goodnight everyone. Tomorrow is my day off and I'm officially worn out and sleepy (I'm even yawning!) so tomorrow I am sleeping until I wake up! No alarms.

Dawn, how goes the sewing? I got everything cut out except for Michael's jacket which I guess I forgot to buy fabric for.. haha. Mom got my skirt and mine and michael's shirts done. Vest started. I have a feeling we're going to be coming minus something or my limited sewing skills will be enlisted on the trip for sewing on some buttons and such.. We'll see. I'm so not good at sewing so if I were doing this alone, I'd of already given up..
Everyone else.. please don't laugh at our silly costumes!

I think I might try to convince Michael to come give out candy for BK with me on Mall-O-Ween in these costumes. I've gotten to do it the past two years and I am begging to do it again this year. So much fun to sit in the food court and get paid to pass out candy to all the cute little kids!
We could be Pirates of The Burger King and wear crowns and tell the kids we stole all of Burger King's treasure.. or something. Haha..

I've got to stress that it is a Christian children's song. Talking about how Daniel got put in the lion's den and there was no way out.... Daniel didn't scream, and Daniel didn't cry, and Daniel didn't even shout...There's even a part about the lion coughing a fur ball. The chorus goes, Here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty here kitty kitty......referring to the Lion.

Maybe this song wasn't in your part of WV. Forgive me.

haha so i thought this was really funny. i don't know if anyone does it, i know i have a sister that does... put salt on a watermelon? anyways, there's this local morning talk show and the guys are hilarious. well when my alarm went off this morning they were talking about putting salt on watermelon. the one says... would you put salt on ice cream? cause that's what it sounds like you're doing
