It wasn't quite as serious as the Vet Tech made it seem over the phone.

Vet looked at him and *supposes* that he got some skin folded up in there during the neuter and the skin started to grow fur-- and it gave Rink an ingrown hair..
He had to open the area up and pull the skin loose. Rink was a bit dazed, but ishappily romping around the back yard again now...

Luckily, mine went a a little more smoothly

THERE IS CLEAR ROTATION IN THE MID-LEVEL CLOUDS THAT COULD BE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SURFACE CENTER...BUT THE LOW CLOUD LINES SUGGEST THE CENTER COULD BE DISPLACED A BIT TO THE SOUTHEAST. THE QUIKSCAT AMBIGUITIES SLIGHTLY FAVOR A DISPLACED CENTER. SO WITH SOME UNCERTAINTY...THE INITIAL MOTION IS ESTIMATED TO BE 295/14.
GLOBAL MODEL GUIDANCE IS UNANIMOUS IN SHIFTING THE SUBTROPICAL RIDGE EASTWARD WITH INCREASED MID- TO UPPER-LEVEL TROUGHING IN THE CENTRAL ATLANTIC OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. THIS SHOULD ALLOW THE DEPRESSION TO MAINTAIN ITS PRESENT WEST-NORTHWESTWARD HEADING FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT THREE DAYS. AFTER THAT...THERE SEEM TO BE TWO PRIMARY OPTIONS. THERE IS GOOD AGREEMENT IN THE GLOBAL MODELS THAT THE CYCLONE WILL ENCOUNTER INCREASED SOUTHERLY SHEAR. THIS COULD TURN THE CYCLONE NORTHWARD...IF THE SYSTEM CAN HANG TOGETHER.
ALTERNATIVELY...THE SYSTEM COULD SHEAR OFF AND THE WEAKENED REMNANTS TURN WESTWARD. THE FORMER SCENARIO IS FAVORED BY THE GFS AND GFDL...WHILE THE LATTER SCENARIO IS THE CHOICE OF THE UKMET AND
ECMWF MODELS. FOR NOW...I'VE MADE NO CHANGES TO THE PREVIOUS
ADVISORY TRACK...WHICH SPLITS THE DIFFERENCE.

THERE IS A LOT OF STABLE AIR IN THE ENVIRONMENT AHEAD OF THE DEPRESSION. NEVERTHELESS...BOTH THE SHIPS AND GFDL GUIDANCE INDICATE STRENGTHENING TO AT LEAST A STRONG TROPICAL STORM. GIVEN THAT THE DEPRESSION HAS NOT STRENGTHENED YET OVER THE WARMEST WATERS IT WILL SEE FOR THE NEXT FOUR DAYS...I WONDER IF THE GUIDANCE IS A LITTLE TOO AGGRESSIVE.

Thanks, I think we will head to PC. Sounds easier with carryons and DH loves air conditioning. Kids will get a little swim time in at Disney Vero so I'm not worried about Mickey Pool time, we should be able to get plenty of pool time in on the cruise.

On a side note. The US government screwed up DS's passport. I put the check in with the passpost stuff and they lost it So now I have to overnite the minor form because I am petrified they won't let me take DS on the boat without permission from his father. I had to get his notarized permission for the passport and thought if I had that I wouldn't need the consent form.

I'm also having to bring my 16 page divorce decree but because we have joint custody (that's a joke) it MIGHT be a problem. You would think I'm the first divorced parent to take a kid on the Disney cruise line

It's crazy the hoops you have to jump through.
A cruise is a bit different than hopping on a plane and leaving the country.. they monitor everything so carefully!

...my recruiter for Chase called. I start September 11.. Assuming I pass the drug and fingerprint screenings that are being overnighted to me? I have to go to the Sheriff's office! Scary stuff. I also have to read a 29 page code of conduct and complete an "Onboard Orientation" by tomorrow.
Good thing tonight was my day off.. *grumbles*..

I just got back from the doctor and Kristin has the beginnings of asthma and a double ear infection and Emily has allergies. At least I know whats going on now and we got medicine to help.
