Taeja mentioned pics of posters posted, anyone know what pages? I haven't a clue about how to post pics but if can readily find yours, may be easier to find you to introduce myself. If we miss the meet and greet I'll make my way around the tables for sure. Kerry - is there a way to post or email the seating chart for those with linked dining? Maybe I could study up! Oh yeah, I got my docs! I really was much more interested in room assignment which happenned at 30 days out. I'm happy with my midship deck 6 location, seems convenient. I won't say I've gone as "overboard" as ya'll [you guys will take that the right way, right ;-)] but I spent quite awhile at Target last night stocking up on cruise stuff (after work, cooking dinner and hitting Sears to buy a frig - not a long story but not exciting). I looked for a long time at various over the door shoe holders and decided not to be so organized -- its one cruise for 4 nights. We are a family of 4 in a Cat 11 so really could go either way, if you have a strong opinion, sell me! I know the small pockets won't work, the type with little shoe shelfs were tempting since my main interest would be for putting a change of kids clothes in there (tshirt, shorts, underwear). But maybe stuff would fall out of that type or its too long for the closet, whatever. I tried the target winecube merlot - it was decent. Ok, thats about all I can think of. I'll go scan the last 3 pages, thats about all I can committ to before getting into work. Oh yeah, I am dreaming about the cruise now (literally) and finding I'm mentally packing as I wake up in the morning, an hour before the alarm. The normally happens as early as a week before a trip, I'm almost bummed I'm already losing sleep! ps I'm packing the pirate stuff tonight so maybe I won't dream about forgetting it again!

O.k., I'm ready to sell to you. Get the over the door shoe holder w/ clear pockets. There's no vanity space unless you count that little pencil box of a spot below the mirrow vanity space. If the ship's rolling/rocking your toiletries may fall to the floor. We used almost every inch of space in our deck 6 cabin last time. Your meds, sunscreen, kids litttle goodies, hair stuff, deoderant, KTTW (at night) fit all nicely in the holder. I think I had pockets to spare. Besides, you don't want your family nagging you, Mom/Honey where's this that? Just tell them its in the shoe holder. I'm considering getting a second one for our shoes...imagine that.

LOL about the packing so you no longer dream about it.

I had stressed myself out so much about my DD missing 7 days of instruction. When I dropped off the letter today they said she can do an Independant Study Contract. Don't ask me what it is. I signed the papers saying she would make up the work and they said as long as she does the work the absences won't count as missed. They said it is only good if you are missing 5 or more days though.

Glad this worked out. See..us "school folks" are not the monsters some folks think we are ....Always remember that for the most part, schools are looking out for the best interest of the kids, but also never forget that you are a "customer" of that school and are always entitled to respect and full and complete answers to any concern you may have. Also remember that no Superintendent likes to have a parent come before the board with an unresolved issue.

See..us "school folks" are not the monsters some folks think we are ....Always remember that for the most part, schools are looking out for the best interest of the kids, but also never forget that you are a "customer" of that school and are always entitled to respect and full and complete answers to any concern you may have. Also remember that no Superintendent likes to have a parent come before the board with an unresolved issue.

Last year our TA mailed them along with a Princess t-shirt for each of the girls so I'm hoping that that is what the hold up is. I don't want to bug her about it yet as she has been so nice so I'll wait until Monday to see if we get them.

Yea I was pleasantly surprised last time. She casually asked what the girls favorite Disney characters were an dlo and behold when our docs came there were 2 tinkerbell shirts and one with all the princess' on it. She also sent laminated luggage tags with all of our personal info on them and even laminated our cruise insurance card to carry in our wallet. Oh yea and a beach bag for John and I. So we rebooked onboard and transferred the rez to her we figure she deserved it. Oh yea whenever she writes us a note its on cute Disney paper and uses Cinderella postage stamps. And she made sure we had a refridgerater in our room for Haley's insulin and a sharps box for needles.
