Glad this worked out. See..us "school folks" are not the monsters some folks think we are ....Always remember that for the most part, schools are looking out for the best interest of the kids, but also never forget that you are a "customer" of that school and are always entitled to respect and full and complete answers to any concern you may have. Also remember that no Superintendent likes to have a parent come before the board with an unresolved issue.

I guess I forget that sometimes. I am one of those that does not like confrontation or to break rules. My DD is getting like that to. She will measure her tank top straps to make sure they are wide enough.

OMG we have that rule too. I am the same way I don't want to labled a troublemaker.

I almost cried at the airport because I forgot about a lighter I left in my jacket pocket and the security guy was so mean. I kept saying I am so sorry I forgot about it. My DH was like get over it. It happens everyday. I said but I did not follow the rules. What a wimp!

5:00!!!!! that would be torture on the day the teacher letters come!!!(this Saturday I hear!) the phone lines in our area go crazy that day with all the kids calling each other to see if they have the same teachers!!!! If my girls had to wait until 3:00 or 5:00 it would be awful.

I try and teach my kids that rules are in place for a reason, but if they feel they disagree, they must comply,but they should try and bring about change in a constructive manner. Present a logical argument,write a letter or make a suggestion to the proper authority.

Our school post it on the outside and you have to go see who you got at 4:00 the day before school starts. I am not crazy about them posting my kids name and teacher with room#. I wish they would mail us who we got.

You know, I got calls too from other parents who I guess work in the office. I was surprised. But I'm sure those moms were more surprised when the lists got reshuffled.

We'll see what exposure brings us once we get through the first few weeks of school.

what's illegal in WV? SC is under 16. You know we have to account for the farmers

Maybe on wed or thurs before we leave we can do an update of all those things and we can all print it out and keep it with our paperwork?
