Thanks for the Ramsey update - I haven't seen a TV in weeks.

Hope everyone's children are doing better - we only have 2 1/2 weeks !!!!

And now that everyone's gone to bed . . .
I have a question:

Are you taking any good jewelry - like your diamond engagement ring? Or are you just wearing a wedding band?

Oh my gosh, I can't even imagine trying to keep track of my good jewelry on a trip. I don't know if I'll bring it, but I doubt it. Then again, at least I'll know where it is.

LMAO Do you have any specific questions? Or are you just absorbing what I love about it?

Oh, one more thing--make sure you buy as many points as you think you'll use. Everyone always says I wish I had bought more points. They will go up in price, they always do, and if you don't buy what you need you'll end up paying a premium for more. Of course, just about everyone who buys ends up going more often because they're addicted. Also, *buy at the resort where you think you'll stay* because it can sometimes be difficult to get a reservation at certain resorts at certain times of year. You can buy a DVC membership on resale and get a good deal, but Disney has the right to buy any resale at any time, so if it's a GREAT deal they might take advantage of that. You can use your points for cruises but it's a much better deal to pay cash. I like to use my points at Disneyland. Since DVC got a presence there, the points required to stay have come way down, and it's really quite reasonable now.

Another thing I love is that some of the resorts have Grand Villas that can accomodate up to 12 people. We could have a whole heap of family join us if we wished! And DVC resorts are actual resorts--if you hated Disney, you could just go and hang out at the resort. There are activities, and there's a spa at Saratoga Springs. There are (overpriced) stores and arcades. I tried to get the family to spend a day just at the resort, but I guess we're still in love with Disney.

Tomorrow I'm going in search of one of those collage like frames where you can put assorted pictures... I want to bring the mat with me to get the characters autographs and come back and make a cruise collage
Im obsessed with those frames. I have one for Europe, too.. it's not done.. but it's in the back of my mind..

Taeja mentioned pics of posters posted, anyone know what pages? I haven't a clue about how to post pics but if can readily find yours, may be easier to find you to introduce myself. If we miss the meet and greet I'll make my way around the tables for sure. Kerry - is there a way to post or email the seating chart for those with linked dining? Maybe I could study up! Oh yeah, I got my docs! I really was much more interested in room assignment which happenned at 30 days out. I'm happy with my midship deck 6 location, seems convenient. I won't say I've gone as "overboard" as ya'll [you guys will take that the right way, right ;-)] but I spent quite awhile at Target last night stocking up on cruise stuff (after work, cooking dinner and hitting Sears to buy a frig - not a long story but not exciting). I looked for a long time at various over the door shoe holders and decided not to be so organized -- its one cruise for 4 nights. We are a family of 4 in a Cat 11 so really could go either way, if you have a strong opinion, sell me! I know the small pockets won't work, the type with little shoe shelfs were tempting since my main interest would be for putting a change of kids clothes in there (tshirt, shorts, underwear). But maybe stuff would fall out of that type or its too long for the closet, whatever. I tried the target winecube merlot - it was decent. Ok, thats about all I can think of. I'll go scan the last 3 pages, thats about all I can committ to before getting into work. Oh yeah, I am dreaming about the cruise now (literally) and finding I'm mentally packing as I wake up in the morning, an hour before the alarm. The normally happens as early as a week before a trip, I'm almost bummed I'm already losing sleep! ps I'm packing the pirate stuff tonight so maybe I won't dream about forgetting it again!

how cool would that be!? reminds me of a commercial they used to have for the disney cruise line. right after we got back from our first one in 2001... it's a mom in an elevator with her young daughter and a baby in a stroller. the little girl is going on and on about the cruise to some random guy in the elevator with them. she points to her baby brother and says, mom calls him our little souvenir...

OH! That reminds of that commercial! The mom, the daughter, and a baby in a stroller are on an elevator and the daughter is talking to this guy in a suit and tie and the girl is describing her Disney vacation--was it a cruise? Then she says, "This is my baby sister. Mommy calls her our little souvenir." And the mom turns beet red. Now I want to see it again!
