Well, so far, I've loved being able to call up and reserve a vacation without having to stress about money. Even if I can't afford anything else, I can stay at a hotel and relax. Of course, I'm thrilled to be staying in a *suite* after the cruise, we'll have our own room for the first time EVER on a vacation with the kids. I can take or leave the kitchen but I'm thrilled that we'll be able to do laundry in the room. That means that we can put a load in and walk away--no time wasted sitting by a washing machine! We can start a load before bed, throw it in the dryer in the morning, and fold it when we get back from the parks. We can use points at non-Disney destinations, which I'm sure we'll do someday

but it does take a *lot* of points. I really like that we now feel like we could do any vacation we want. Before the DVC membership, we felt like we could only afford to do certain vacations. Now we feel like we could even go to Europe! (Hubby says Disney Paris in two years

)
We would normally have gone to WDW and stayed in the Value resorts, so we definitely took a step up when we bought DVC. The down side to DVC is that you don't get to take advantage of package deals--like the free dining that's going on now. But you find ways to get other deals--a lot of DVC members have annual passes and they get discounts from that. Disney Visa also gives discounts on certain things. I can go on and on

sorry!
