We have the same rule. Sandals have to have backs in them in elementary school. My dd 11 wears them to school alot though
Yup, same here, they have to have backs. That's probably the only kind of shoe that DD does NOT have. :rotfl2:

I am taking off, I am getting the evil eye from my other family memebers who are (im)patiently waiting for the computer.

Bye for now.

PS I found the REEFS in white & light blue. I may have to get those.... :lmao:

Have a good night. I will be back ASAP!

I am reading the posts from 4:45 pm yesterday, page 545 post 8161. I feel like I am in a time warp--30 hours out of sync with you all.

A friend just forwarded this to me and I thought I would share.
Jan :earsgirl:

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, "Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like. "

The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful, but because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, "You have seen Hell."

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but the people here were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.

The holy man said, "I don't understand."

" It is simple" said the Lord, "it requires but one skill. You see, they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves."

Oh yea my Mom freaked out! I'm glad she didn't hurt herself. My 2 oldest donated their hair to locks of love this year and I was proud of them but at the same time it's weird to see them with short hair!
Ooo, my friend just did that this summer! She complained all last semester about how she was just ready to chop it off and kept asking if it was 10 inches yet. :rotfl: She finally was able to donate it like a month ago.

I got my first pair of Reef's tonight. They're pale pink & tan. I am loving them! :lovestruc
I have a pair. They're all black and platform type style...although my mom says I don't need them. She already thinks I'm too tall without any added height. :rotfl2:

Yup...flip flops. Logan actually bought them for me. Isn't he a sweetie!!   I've always wanted to try them. He got a bunch of clothes, even an outfit for dinner on the cruise (and then again for Homecoming), some flips for himself and two pairs for me. I got a cute pair of Roxy leather flip flops on sale for $10 and the Reefs. They were much more expensive, it was so nice of him to do that. I offered to repay him but he insisted.
Aww that is so sweet!

I;m only 5'3" so I am all about the platform shoe :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
I'm the same height. I like platforms but I am most comfortable in flats. I usually wear the plain old Old Navy rubber flip flops, I have them in a bunch of colors. They're just so.... um... plain. Not to mention they have no support, which luckily, doesn't bother me. They're great to throw on when I am running to the store but like most women, I am always on the hunt for that "ultimate" pair of shoes (if there is such a thing!!!) :lmao

How does that saying go? A woman can't be too rich, too thin or have too many shoes! :lmao:

Well, since nobody is around, I'd best shut up and take off myself. :rotfl2:
Good Night

We are not allowed to request teachers. You can reaquest to NOT have a certain teacher ONLY if a previous child has had that teacher. They don't make it easy. Even with all the volunteering I do there are no exceptions for ANYONE.
That is what our school has.

We went school shopping for Logan a couple of weeks ago and PACSUN was giving away their PAC bucks (you spend $50 and you get $25 off). The PAC bucks were due to expire today and Logan had accumulated $150 worth. We decided to hit the mall and see what he could find. He got a bunch of clothes, even an outfit for dinner on the cruise (and then again for Homecoming), some flips for himself and two pairs for me. That is so funny my Dd bought mine. I have the army looking ones.

I caught up and I survived the party. They are not asleep yet but at least they are in DD's room and I am in mine. :woohoo: I am going to bed now. I am ready to die.

Well.. I would like to let everyone know that Michael has been voted off the island...

After showing him a picture of me that someone took and doctored a bit.... he asked me who it was... :sad2:

Sooo.. apparently after three years he does not recognize me.. so if I'm standing next to him and he asks you where I am... please point the other direction...
Thanks. ;)

Good morning!!!!! Wonder if I am all alone again this lovely Sunday morning, three weeks from which I will be making my husband get his butt out of bed so we can eat and pack the car up and start DRIVING TO THE PORT ALREADY!!!!!

I'll be the crazy lady banging on the port doors at 9 begging for them to be opened. My husband will be the one sleeping in the car because I made him get up so early.

I will try to post a pic of my hair today - I'd do it right now, but I still have bed hed and would not want to frighten anyone :rotfl:
It's SHORT! Ack!

Ok, back to catching up.

Well Patsy, this is the first of a long life lesson for you:
Men, while well-intentioned, do not notice anything about us women unless it involves a video game, football or grilling. ***

I love DH with all my heart.....but details are not his thing.

So when your friend looked at the picture and it did not have a siren and flashing lights and a huge neon sign that said "I know she looks a TINY bit different here, but this is Patsy" well then......nothing sunk in.

Now, had you been playing Quake in the picture, he would have been like "Oh, you played that game too?" :confused3

***except for Bill and Logan, of course!
