After showing him a picture of me that someone took and doctored a bit.... he asked me who it was...

Sooo.. apparently after three years he does not recognize me.. so if I'm standing next to him and he asks you where I am... please point the other direction...

Well Patsy, this is the first of a long life lesson for you:
Men, while well-intentioned, do not notice anything about us women unless it involves a video game, football or grilling. ***

I love DH with all my heart.....but details are not his thing.

So when your friend looked at the picture and it did not have a siren and flashing lights and a huge neon sign that said "I know she looks a TINY bit different here, but this is Patsy" well then......nothing sunk in.

Now, had you been playing Quake in the picture, he would have been like "Oh, you played that game too?"

***except for Bill and Logan, of course!

Erica's right about the man thing. I don't know Bill that well but knowing Logan as I do, he'll probably end up the same way.

Goober that I am, I've been editing my copy of the Detailed Cruiser's List. I've been adding notes like where everyone is from, and a general location of where each cabin is. I figure that when we finally meet, it's going to be all jumbled up as to who is who. Do you think we should do some kind of (lame) name tag thing for the first day or two til we get it straight? Does anyone think this is remotely a good idea?

Can't wait to see the hair, post the pic! I had mine cut a couple of weeks ago, debating on going a bit shorter...

I am currently combining THREE of my obsessions right now.....cruising DIS forums, making waffles (Alton Brown's recipe!), and brewing tea!!!
DH is paying a zombie game on the XBox 360.

Lisa I think we can keep it straight without tags, especially if we post pics again RIGHT before we go. I'm horrible with names, yet I think I have most of them down already here......and THAT is saying something.

Plus....with all of this shoe posting, all we'll need to do is look down at feet and we will instantly know who is who!

Pink Reefs = Lisa
Rainbows = Kerry and Heidi

etc etc.....

I think it could work!

And just a warning... I REALLY like these Reefs so I am already in search of yet another pair. Don't put me down in permanent ink for the pink ones yet. I CAN'T STOP...HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll bite, what's Alton Brown's recipe?

Ok - here goes:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
3 eggs
2 oz melted butter
10 oz room-temp buttermilk

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, the wet in another, and then fold until just mixed.....leave for 5 mins to blend together, and pour onto steamy hot waffle iron!

As a warning, it makes a very hearty waffle.....he said something about topping his with fried chicken? But it could stand up to ice cream or berries or whatever. I'm a syrup person, myself.

Oh, and it makes a TON. 12 to be exact.
