Wow, I haven't even done laundry to start packing yet...

Tomorrow I've got about three hours between work and class.. so I thought I'd run all my cruise-related errands and try to get some stuff accomplished?

guess not! Chase overnighted me a package that says I have to go here and get a drug screening and over there to get fingerprints!!!! AND I have to pay for it (with what money? I get paid tomorrow but that was my cruise money ) ANNND.. it has to be done within 24 hours of receiving the package. What? I don't have time to do it now, as I work tonight.. and I open tomorrow. I don't get off until 3:30. I CAN'T do it within 24 hours.

Seems a bit strict, doesn't it? And I think she should have told me I'd have to pay BEFORE sending it to me.. I could have told her, hands down, I won't even have the money within 24 hours of receiving it. Crazy.

Why would YOU have to pay for it? That doesnt make sense

well that's good! I understand the need to fray costs and you wouldn't believe the amount of people who cannot pass a pre-employment drug screen!

my thoughts always are: Hello- if you are looking for a new job, you might want to cut back on the recreational drug usage! Duh!

Are you getting excited about your other new adventure starting after the cruise? I don't know if you are at work so I don't want to post what that is? Do they know?

That's so funny Lori! When you posted this I was at my "interview" and yes my current employer knows. They made a counter offer and since I do not have an official offer letter I am currently entertaining both right now.

Although I have an unofficial start date, they had to still go through the process (it's the government after all) So I did a panel interview yesterday and hope to have an official offer by mid week next week.

Currently in my house I have two bags of Ghiradelli dark choc/raspberry squares (1 opened, 1 not), 1 bag of dark choc/mint squares, and I consumed a Godiva dark choc/raspberry bar earlier today.

are you serious? I don't know what I would do if our teachers went on strike! Course we are an employment at will state and I do not think our teachers are unionized.
