Good Sunday afternoon everyone - time to get caught up!

I just saw you are a high school teacher. Are you still one?

Hi Lori - Yes, I keep trying to "retire" but the school keeps bringing me back for a couple of classes. I only teach 2 in the afternoon - Trig & Calculus. At least it helps pay for the kids tuition. I'm a travel agent in the morning and teacher in the afternoon (and make no money at either ).

Vacation is the one time my family indulges my need for geeky matching clothes. I insist on it, and they do it to keep me from going over the edge and making them pose for Christmas cards. I haven't found this year's outfits, but last year we had blue tropical Mickey shirts & dresses. In 2004 we all had red Mickey t-shirts. People comment on them, but they don't point and laugh so it's all good.

Of course, I guess we've already proven that we're huge geeks because we're wearing costumes on pirate night, too...

Thanks for the replies everyone, I needed that boost of confidence. The kids don't mind wearing them - but I'm not sure if they've thought of the "overall picture."

Hi Taeja - this is true, but my screen squeaks when I move it up and down to see and DH gets really annoyed. (I was already in bed and was to lazy to get up)

So you're bringing matching shirts too, Taeja? Are they the red Mickey Hawaiian from the Disney Store? Do we need a big group shot of all of us being "Disney-nerds?"

I say wear them, if the family actually wants to. BECAUSE you can't get away with it anywhere else but at Disney. Right? Plus, it's cute for pictures. Now, if everyone is not on board, I would say take them back.

I am a guilty overpacker as well. But DH is no help. I set aside THREE dresses, knowing full well I will only wear two (formal night and Palo), and he asks me "you're not taking the white one?"
So now I'm bringing four. *sigh*

I'm going to have to whittle it down a bit. There are only two of us! We don't need that much! But then I try and get all practical like "what if I spill something, what if something gets wet/dirty, what if I get all sweaty" etc. So when you see the childless couple with 4 suitcases, you will know that is us.

That really cracked me up! (and made me feel better! )

disney nerds unite! I've got the blue pattern from this summer from the Disney shopping. I had to return DH's b/c it was waayyy to large for him and he was not exactly thrilled with the thought of matching. So, I got him a different shirt instead. I did get a dress for my MIL, she'll like it. I hope I'll have more time during the day to pack next week and clean. My MIL ALWAYS get a label marked heavy on her luggage when she comes and here I am adding one more item to her stuff.
