Ok, I finally found it - it was this crazy cruise report that I loved!

For $15 you too can try the martini flight... five miniature martinis that are still big enough in size that you can easily share them with someone you love. They were all very tasty indeed, and dear reader, I don't know if it is possible for you to end up more annoyed with me than I am with myself right now...but I lost the sheet that described each drink. From what I remember there was an Appletini (too sweet - Jason had to finish that one), a Citrontini (mmm...just the right balance of sweet and sour), a Cosmopolitan (always a safe choice), a Blue something-or-other (it was made with blue curaco and it was actually pretty good but I have no idea what it was called), and a chocolate martini...defies all possible description other than glass-licking good...go get your own and grab another for me while you're at it.

Diversions it is!

sign me up!!!!!!

I love to lurk on this thread, y'all are just a riot! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

So can someone give me a consensus (sp?), please? NO JACKETS (for the men)?? What about a button down long-sleeve shirt and tie? Just how dressy is everyone going to be on semi-formal (or whatever it is called) night?

Also, WAS THAT A YAY OR NAY TO BRINGING GOOD JEWELRY ON THE CRUISE? I think I only go a couple of replies on that question. I'm only talking about my engagement ring, not the Hope diamond or anything.

Oh, and I like the 9:00 am meet at Cove Cafe for goodie bags (if it's before we disembark for Nassau). :thumbsup2

Consensus:

No jacketsfor the men. Maybe a tie but that's it.

Yes to the e-ring

The ship doesn't dock until 9:30am on Nassau day

9am should/would work then. provided if you are going ashore that some one (dh or others in your party will hold a spot in line to disbark on Nassau day if you are anxious to get out early. Just a thought.

Yahooo! That means I should be able to at least drop off my pirate stuff. SO if the bags take longer than 30 minutes, and I have to leave, I can pick up my bags at dinner because I'm linked. Also, I can pick up bags for people who aren't linked at that time if they don't have other arrangements.

Yeah, but if your 17 year old daughter was dating a 19/20 year old man, would that be a problem?

My husband was 25 when I started dating him at 18...but I really think I'd freak out if my daughter did that.

Dawn

According to DBF, if we have a daughter she can't date until she is 30, so yes-it will definitely be a problem.

I just have to brag about this thread.

I've been working on a thread reunion for my 2004 cruise. I looked at who all to invite and there was only 1 page of cruisers. I know we made it to over 3,000 posts barely with three stragglers (including myself) who refuse to kill the thread). So, since the birth of our 10,000th+ posts and three pages worth of DIS cruisers I am thilled! I am happy to report that I look forward to having a thread reunion with you all, but at the rate we are going, this thread may never completely die even after the cruise.

Just because the cruise will be over, don't quit posting. I need some way of coping with post cruising WDW blues. I hope to hear about every one's future current events too like our now pre cruise discussion. Just because the cruise is over, doesn't mean this thread has to die.

O.k., I'm stepping off my soapbox now. No, wait, maybe I should stay on it to look taller! :cheer2:

I'll be here with you and if the $$$ is there in the future I would love to do a reunion cruise.

PLus I gotta post when I get engaged :bride: :lovestruc

O.k., confession time. You know when I meet you I'll be lunging to hug you all. I'm a huggy kind of person so if you don't want one, let me know. I just cannot wait to meet you all. :grouphug:

Oh My God!!!! I had a dream last night about meeting you in the terminal. You tapped me on the shoulder and said "Kerry?" and I said "TaeJa?" Then we laughed and hugged. I introduced you and Brandon to the folks and Kevin then totally blanked on the kids names!!!!

I woke up telling myself to review Lisa's cruiser's list on the way to port so I can try to remember everyone's names.

Have I mentioned that I LOVE the name Alex? I don't know why but I always have. My barbies would be named Alex, Alexia, Alexa, Alexander, Alexandra... I'm a freak.

My son's middle name is Alexander. I wanted it to be his first name but I didn't want people to call him Alex so he got it as a middle name. I love that name too!

Maybe the first thing to do is get all the names on the bags?

I love this idea. I have the bags and they are pretty large. I have enough for two bags per kid but I doubt we would need that many.

I could label all the kids bags with their names on them before we leave. Just do one bag per kid.

What do you all think?

haha yeah... he's says the nicest sweetest things and i'm just like, what am i supposed to say to that? like... today has been the best day ever? why's that? because i'm eating sushi and i'm with the pretty girl... ok, what does one say to that??? i'm like thanks? it's hard cause personally i don't think i'm as pretty/beautiful/cute as everyone always tells me i am... blah :rotfl:

alex is a great name. and i think you should go for it! ;) never hurts to try anything... i'm all about trying things now. i was a little unsure when steve was asking me out, but i figured hey, he's really funny, he's attractive, and he's trying really hard, so it can't hurt to at least give it a try can it? kind of like the whole sushi thing the other night. totally was not about that, was scared of it, but it wasn't as bad as i thought it was going to be, and actually some of it was pretty good. you never know till you try!

Us women are so funny! My boyfriend thinks I am a supermodel! Whenever he says that stuff to me I often comment that it's only because his last girlfriend is a weeble wooble so it's not that hard an act to follow:lmao:

A friend of mine had to convince me to go for it with Kevin. It took about a month. All I could see was this very sweet and very boring boy next door. He just seemed too one dimensional for me and I didn't think he could keep up with my wild side.

Boy was I WRONG! He is probably the most diverse person I have ever met in terms of his interests and he is always willing to try new things. Plus the first time he kissed me I think my panties flew off so I knew up front that we had some great chemistry.

It's great dating your best friend who gives you butterflies. I'm so glad I knew him as a friend before dating him! And that I listened to my friend!

Time to Go Home..I may log on later from home so I don't fall behind.. :confused3

It's a great idea, as long as it's not too much work for you!

I think these kids are going to have a blast!

Nope! I'm going to make folder labels and then I'll just stick them on the bags. I have to make address labels anyway still so I can do it then. I don't think we have any with the same name so I should be okay.

I'm caught up. I had my 3pm meeting be cancelled so since I skipped lunch due to the insanity of today I decided to get caught up.

You guys are going put me in the weeds this weekend I just know it.

Hey everybody... I'm soo tired but i caught back up with you guys.

I, unfortunately, will not be able to do a reunion cruise unless we do it after I graduate college...

I've decided no more vacations until I pay off my credit card debt (textbooks! GR) and student loans..

so what happened at work today? :confused3

We were realllllly busy. Last Friday before school starts... I didn't talk to him much but he kept whining to me about how tired he was because I kept him up all night talking.
I told him he was a baby. I went to bed four hours later and worked two hours earlier... :rotfl:

We both close tomorrow night. It's Parkersburg's homecoming, so it will be slow. I might get to see some fireworks tomorrow night if we get done early enough!
