Oh, I think I read too quick, I put "visit Atlantis" in with the bought the room catagory b/c I thought the only way to visit the pools is to stay there (Atlantis or Comfort suites). So, by paying for 1 night (unlikely to see the room with 4pm checkin but, whatever), I'll be able to see the aquarium too? Thanks for the info, I jumped w/o a lot of research b/c a call to find out if kids were allowed with double occupancy promo lingo turned into making reservations.

.

I think I took up speed reading to keep up with this thread and it takes me 3 tries, how lame. Anyway, think I have it all figured out and will read 3 times before asking questions in the future! :-) (so old school on smilies)

i will bring flip flops... nice shoes for dinner and my running shoes. since i have to run on the ship so i don't get out of shape. got this silly little marathon to train for :lmao:
yeah the socks were great. i was just like no i'm not wearing shoes anymore. i have nice fuzzy socks for walking around in now. so i'm bringing those...

there's the link to the boots at target... i had sent you an email a little bit ago but i'll share with all. hopefully the link works. if not go to target.com and click browse the weekly ad. you should see them there... they're there pair at the front with all the buckles. my sister actually got them last night. they're really cute!

now i'm really going to work!

The boots are adorable!

I LIVE in flip flops. In fact, I just bought a cute pair of heels for the cruise and I have been trying to wear them around here so I don't look like a total buffoon when I try to wear them on the ship. :rotfl: I have to practice, how sad is THAT? I am a beach bum all the way. :beach:

I keep reading that you shouldn't bring fins, only bring mask & snorkel. :confused3 The fins take up the most room so I may leave those home and follow the DISfolk recommendations. :confused3 Not sure....
Why no fins? We always took ours.

I love me Teva's we got them for our trip in June 2004. I didnt "break them" in just wore them! They are so comfortable!! I live in them!!!!

I think this is the thread where I read it: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1177165&highlight=snorkle

I figured for the amount of time that my kids will actually do it, it may not be worth it for me to pack the fins anyway. They can snorkel and then wear their masks on the banana boat ride too, I've heard the spray kicks up big time in your face.

I gotta pisdapeer (as my kids would say for a while). I gotta get ready. Can some one let me know if my light turns red while I'm gone? Logging out ...now
Now (10:10 am EDT) it is BLUE never went red.

Thanks, :thumbsup2 I checked it out. One of the posters said what I had noticed: at the adult beach the sea life is few and far between so having flippers was nice as it limited fatigue while swimming to the next item of interest. Sounds like for the stingray excursion they don't even offer flippers so maybe they feel they are a hazard to the rays.
I think I will pack all our geer. Yes it takes up space, but I would rather have them and not use them than to wish they were with me instead of in Indy.

When do we get our Navigators? Do they put them under the door?

Just curious! I know curiosity killed the :cat:

I think they give them to us daily. Not sure, I think there are slots or something outside your door and they put them in there. Never been so I can't say for sure.

Maybe one of our seasoned cruisers can tell us? :confused3

Hi everybody
I'm waayyy behind . . . . again!
My family of 5 would like to book Atlantis, is there any other family of 5 or more want to split a second room? Or is there a smaller family that would like to "adopt" one of my children? :teeth:
Have a great day everyone, see you 20 pages later! :lmao: :sunny:

Morning everyone

Wow you guys are out of control with this posting :rotfl: It took me an hour just to get caught up. Now my house will never get clean. I'm afraid to look away from the computer.......

The navigators are just slipped under your door every night. You can also stop at guest services and grab some. I always got extras to bring home for scrapbooking.
Suz

I got one too! I did Mickey Mouse. I was torn between Dash, Mickey and Stitch. Jared is on the cusp of not being a little boy anymore but I didn't think he would like the skull and cross just yet either. Hope he likes the Mickey Mouse one.

I had a fellow DISer send him a postcard from CC from Stitch. Last cruise he took a picture with Stitch and has it framed in his room.

Drat! I assumed you could see the aquarium too. Big bummer.

No you can see the aquarium as a guest of the hotel. I meant that if you WEREN'T a guest you wouldn't have access to the pools and beach and would need to pay for the aquarium. Being a guest gets you all the priviledges

Suzanne said "under the door" but our experience was that the stateroom host usually left them on the bed or in another obvious place sometime during the early evening.

Maybe it depends on the stateroom host.

Occasionally we found them behind the fish. (There is a metal fish by each door that is spaced away from the wall a bit so papers can be slid in there and things hung from it.) You can also get copies at GUEST SERVICES by asking.

You might be able to get extras delivered by your stateroom host each evening if you ask the first night. It is nice to have extras so each person can have his own and/or for scrapbooking. I used our extra for my scrapbook pages. I highlighted the things we did and pasted photos and other paper momentos on top of the stuff we didn't do.

You get them in the room the night before. Not sure about embarkation. Maybe at check-in
