I keep running back and forth...throw a load in, check the DIS, fold some clothes, check the DIS, take the dog out, check the DIS, put some dishes away, check the DIS... you get the idea ;)

I just love it when I am picking up they are leaving stuff behind me. :furious:

why is that?! Wish I could be like Mary Poppins and snap things would be put where they belong. Where is that movie, I'm in the mood for Poppins!

I honestly don't get it. You'd think they'd LIKE the house to look decent but they really don't care. It's frustrating. :furious:

I go in spurts. I get to the point where I'm done being in denial (or that I've run out of clothes or dishes) and then I do some thing about it. I wasn't created for housework. I don't know how you can properly train your kids to be happy about doing work for other people esp. housework. Housework is not my calling. Excuse any possible typos or errors. I'm using the kids sticky keyboard.

I couldn't find the ideal nanny/maid so I'm watching Brother Bear instead.

The space shuttle is scheduled to launch on August 27 for anyone who is going to be there. We get there on the 29th. Maybe it will get delayed. I would love to see it. I have seen it land several times but never take off. here is the link if anyone wants it.http://www.ksctickets.com/ltt.html?ic_campID=4&ic_pkw=august+launch+update

Lori your post snuck in. I missed it earlier. I bet you ladies wanted to hear every thing I'm doing today. Sorry If I'm torturing you. My life is pretty ordinary.

can you imagine having to use a "real" iron. The ones we use as door stops today?

no seriously. I don't own an iron. My DH works in jeans and a t-shirt. If he has a meeting or I need a dress for something I go to the dry cleaners.

I'm the same way. When the boys were little, I was OBSESSED with keeping the house clean. They were both on the same schedule (and my dial up computer was relatively new), I would put them to bed early and clean up before I went to bed. When I woke, everything was spotless. Now I have three kids on crazy schedules, I never have any down time and when I do, I want to be online instead of cleaning. My house suffers for it big time. No more obsession for me.

Wish I had that problem. My DH works in a plant so he wears dockers and polos. Even dockers with slight freying at the bottom b/c he's in a transmission plant for a computer company. I just shake my head about the torn bottoms, but he says the plants so dirty any way. Yuck! Shhhh, jeans and tshirt for work attire, he'd be soo there!
