Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

I was, too.

I know Christmas/Thanksgiving, etc.. are going to be very difficult. :(

BIL copes with alcohol and came over to borrow money so he could go *out*.. and I kept trying to hide my belly but I couldn't do it. Tom had to go to an ATM w/ him and said BIL said he "Just didn't know what to do" and congratulated him on things going smooth with me.

Definitely hard.

Alright, Jan.

As requested, the next round of pictures... This is of our upstairs hallway.
This was what it looked like when we bought it:

After we took down that wallpaper, we found THIS wallpaper. Lovely surprise. :headache:
Hallway2Edit.jpg

After we removed that wallpaper, fixed the cracks in the plastar walls that the wallpaper had been hiding and painted... this is what it looks like NOW:
Hallway3Edit.jpg

Slightly better shot:

Hopefully after this weekend, we'll have white trim on all the doorways/windows and tuesday NEW CARPET!!! :thumbsup2
Will post final pictures if you'd like. :)

Laundry is being moved from inside the main part of the kitchen, to have it's own space that utilizes some kitchen, some dining room.
I should have taken a better picture, but this is the wall before:

Laundry1.jpg

And where that white wall with the yellow tile bottom is, is now this:

Laundry2.jpg

They're not done yet, but eventually it will have bi-fold doors and the entryway to the basement, which is about 1.5' from the wall in the first picture, has been moved flush to the wall in real life. Much better use of space. :thumbsup2

AMAZING how much larger that hallway looks with solid color walls instead of the busy wallpaper. I wonder what the deal was with sheer curtains in the doorways.

Are you painting the woodwork around the doors instead of leaving the wood grain showing?

I am always up for more photos!

:)

You are so amazingly clever!! Applause to all of your team!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
:)

DAWN- how are your applications going for your son? :sail:

He got accepted. I'm both happy and sad. Now I'm volunteering to help get the charter school open on top of homeschooling! I never in a million years thought I'd be right where I am today.

We got the letter of acceptance on Friday for my daughter to join a Montessori school run by the district. So next year, I guess I'm a public school mom. I'm still in a bit of shock.

Dawn, how exciting and surprisingly good! So awesome to see you on Facebook too :goodvibes .

Patsy, then house is looking awesome! Lots of room to grow

I've been following the DCL FB thread, what awesome news!

HAH!

I got my crib assembled! After having owned it for three months and nowhere to assemble it.. my nursery is ready to put together!!!!!!!!!!!

So there are no pictures on the walls and a little bit of trim needs done and a section of wall needs repainted... BUT. This is the final project. I'm very, very, VERY happy with how it turned out!

Ooo, I LOVE the color Patsy!!!:goodvibes
Our house is very green/blue oriented. Almost all of the walls are one of the two!:rotfl: Hence why my mom is trying to pick out a purple, yellow, pink, or orange for her room. (At least I think I remember an orange?:confused3 ) My poor dad...they already have a floral comforter for their bed...:rotfl: He seems to just go with it though... But what else can you do when you have four girls and no boys?:rolleyes1 :rotfl:
