LOL!!!!
We went to Walmart yesterday and the ones they had were bla!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back in the days when they were trying to diagnose my blood sugar problems (before they completely gave up) they gave me a BUNCH of blood glucose tests. ALL of the flavors stink, trust me.:faint:

I'm not exactly excited for it... yucky.

I can't belive how quickly this pregnancy has whooshed by. :confused3

There's a cure for that you know.... #2! :rotfl2:

If we're going to have a # 2, it'll be soon. Like, within the year I'd get pregnant again.

I want them close together and since I'll most likely stop working (but they gave me a raise and now I'm rethinking. I'm sure as soon as I meet Lucas, though, I won't be rethinking any longer!) it'll work out better to just have them both now, while I won't be able to really do school/work anyway.

It'd be pretty great if I could get my degree and a teaching job by the time they are both old enough for non-nursery based daycare and/or preschool, school.

Tom and his bro are 11 months apart and really, really close. He likes how close they are but unless someone up there has a different plan, I don't intend to get pregnant again that soon.

It pretty much all depends on $$, but Tom gets a yearly raise (perk of being a government employee, I suppose!) and we've got savings sooo.. It's hard to say.

I plan too much, I just don't want my kids years apart.

I totally know what you mean Patsy! Holly and I are five years apart and we are the oldest and youngest. There are two in between us...Holly and Heather are a year apart, Hayley 2 years after Heather, and then me two years after Hayley. I think it's great that we are all close in age.:goodvibes I hate when you see people with kids 10 years or more apart. I feel bad for them because it's like they don't get to know they're siblings at all. While my sisters and I aren't the stereotypical *best friend* sisters, we're still close and I'd probably rather hang with Holly than most of my friends. I want my kids close in age too and be close. It's a special bond that I want them to have with each other.:goodvibes

Yeah, my brother and I are three years apart and close but it's just enough (and being boy/girl) that we're not CLOSE CLOSE, if you know what I mean.

I don't usually feel bad for people with kids far apart-- its just a different experience. The older kid can appreciate the little kid so much more and the little kid gets some perks.. like going out with their sibling only (when the sibling can drive) and they share some special stuff that way. I know when Greg started driving just going to the mall w/o mom and dad was SO cool and bet kids who are more than 3 years apart feel the same way when they get to go out with their siblings!

Just a different experience entirely... :thumbsup2

Okay, you guys want to help me pick out a paint color??

I already bought paint for the nursery but now that I know it's a boy, that color isn't really flying in my head. Luckily I can recycle it to be the guest bedroom paint, no problemo!

So now I need to figure out what color to do the nursery.

I think I'm going to try to find white curtains and tye-dye them.. just need to pick colors! Room has three windows.

ETA: I just found these curtains, and I think these would be pretty snazzy!

I like the style of the 80s where the walls are off white and the colors in the room come from the furnishings so if it was my baby, I would paint the walls a white like on the space ship. Not sure what I would do with the curtains, might leave them white too.

Another option I would like would be to get that sandy-tan color from the UFO and do the walls in that, but again, you see that I like the colors of the decorations to show up against a muted background.

Modern I am not. :confused3 sorry......

But, I am sure, whatever you do, it will look great because you have such great taste.
:thumbsup2

Things are all right--I'm trying to get my son into a charter high school, and they're making it nightmarishly hard for me. Or maybe it just feels nightmarish because I'm so anxious about it! :confused3

My husband has a lead on a job, he goes for an interview tomorrow. :thumbsup2 I'm hoping really hard...

I'm around, I just hadn't had anything to say for a while. LOL! I'm silently lurking.

When I took Lamaze classes, they told us that it takes a couple of years for your body to recover from having a baby. It can be really hard on your kidneys, I know.

We will be praying and hoping for a good interview for him and a good outcome on the Charter school application. Keep us posted!

Right now, eh.

BIL's girlfriend lost their baby Sunday (at 15 weeks!) so every little kick makes me so grateful and sad for them at the same time. :(

Other than the sadness, amazing! I've been blessed with an easy-peasy pregnancy and a baby that kicks the kitty when she tries to sleep on my stomach (I don't even have to try to get rid of her anymore, he does it for me!) :rotfl:

Can't believe I'm in double digits. Mom is going to go buy baby shower invites and reserve the party room at a local pizza place/italian restaurant for the shower tomorrow... soooo close!

Did you see the picture on facebook? My co-workers think that I have popped about 4 times now!

Glad you are doing so well!

Tom works for Department of the Treasury: Bureau of the Public Debt...

and I was just poking around on their website and this is the first sentence under "What We Do"

"Our job is to borrow the money needed to operate the federal government and to account for the resulting debt."

I'm sorry, but I find that hilarious :rotfl:
