Wow, those are BRIGHT but pretty, Heidi!!!

I'm ready to start picking out paint colors. The mortgage guy just called and after the appraisor checks out our handy work (fix peeling paint, and some wires) we're ready to close.
HOLY CRAP. We figured we'd have to go through underwriting again but nope- one swoop was enough for us. We're in shock. This was too easy. (Well, after we sign the 20 pages required for a VA loan and fax them back...)

So you redid your kitchen, Lisa? I wanna see!!
I plan to do before/after of all the rooms in the new house!!
Guess which room is first on my list? The nursery. I'm such a loser! haha

Thanks for the support on the pregnancy theme. I'm going with it. Just couldn't decide if it was weird or not !!

Cool colors! I love the picture of your Syberian Husky. She resembles our Husky we had exactly.

Thanks I'm in love with my *new* room. My old color was a faint pink that had faded to an ugly shade.
And thanks...she is so pretty! I love her to death she probably gets annoyed with me when I come home cause I bother her a lot. I just miss her fuzzy face so much!!

I picked out Disney colors for most of the nursery.. does that count as a Disney nursery?
The only one that isn't Disney is the brown- none of them were quite right so I picked out a "Mocha" from Behr. Lol.

Mortgage dude called back. We're getting 5.5% by buying 1 point, but with all the fees being waived due to employee-- it fit's into the seller's closing allowance. We're not going to have to pay a cent to close!

..and on a scarier note, when Tom got home he apologized for not locking the door. I stared at him oddly, because he never locks the door and that doesn't usually bother me as I'm usually up... I was mad because it was open. I showed him what I meant and he freaked out.
He didn't leave the front door open, he swears he didn't. So someone came in the house.
Which is scary... because I swear I heard something but I didn't bother getting up, figuring it was Rink.

Neutral. I'm not finding out. You'll have to wait until June to find out if your prediction is right.

The colors look a LOT better on the chips, but here is an idea:

The two longer walls are going to be green, with the two end walls the yellow and a pattern like the criss crosses in this:

with the mocha brown!

I thought she took it, but I think Tae Ja said she did not take the photo. If I am wrong I sure hope she corrects me.

But it still is cool.

Here is a the "toy" Soldier. They alternate around the circle at the base of the monument with Sailors. (Soldier and Sailor's Monument--get it?) I never stood by one but I bet they are over 8 feet tall.

Wow! Great colors Heidi...LOVE it!

I'll get some pictures together when we're all done. So far we've torn up the laminate (Pergo) flooring (because of a fridge leak), replaced it with tile (I actually helped tile and grout), put up 4' of white beadboard, painted the top half of the walls taupe, painted the bathroom (I did all the painting), got new throw rugs, and our brand new verticals arrived today (waiting for the installer to call). Then up will go the new curtains and we'll be done. Tough time of year for all of this, I don't want to think about putting Christmas stuff up (I usually have it done by now). We've been living in disarray so long I just want to get done and settled!

Thank you! My dad did the door...I should give him credit for that huh... And all the bottom panel stuff whatever you call it... And about half my room or so...but I swear I did help!!

I wanted to paint most of it myself but after the first coat it became very tiresome to have to do a second one...

This may help him remember to shut and lock the doors, check the doors and recheck the doors.

She is in the kennel. With Kodi, we had our neighbor come by every so often to let her out and feed her at dinner time. But Spirit is just to mischievous for that. Ocassionally we'd have her go to my mom's dad, he loves dogs. But he has sold his house by us and is permanently in Florida now so she has to go to the kennel. I helped my dad take her...she never likes going. But the people there seem to love her. One girl even said most of the time she kept Spirit up front at the desk with her. So hopefully that makes things more pleasant for her?

If it's what I'm thinking of (Twilight) yes.. because the Lamb is Bella and she puts the Lion, Edward, through a lot of torture because she smells so good. He loves her, he wants to protect her, she is the hardest thing he's ever had to face, etc.

He did an awesome job, I'd so be painting crazy/lazy and never have the restraint to do the squares so perfect.
(Tony will be painting the nursery, not I!)

I can't really stand painting and am overjoyed to have an excuse..
