Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

I guess I'm weird, I thought dark brown. :confused3

I would go with black too. But I always choose black or navy :rotfl:

May I please have the penguin you have Tae Ja?

Jan :santa:

ETA: Back to the safety while driving topic: I always check my tires when I walk out of a client's home, store or rest area. I figure it's easier to get help for low tires when at the location than once I hit the road again. ::yes::

Personally, I'd go with black.

I've got both colors even gray and navy. I thought about brown and tan too, but would it look holidayish? I'll have to check my wardrobe. Thanks gals!

Jan, here's the penguin. Copy and paste the bar into your signature box, but delete the * afterwards. The little penguin should show then. :)

I'm almost lunch break time :goodvibes

Patsy, how are you feeling?

brb, ds has a question.....

I like brown for that top too, but for some reason, I think black is dressier.

I can see that, I agree--black would be dressier. :thumbsup2

I'm good. Just took a quiz for my history class (100% wooho! :rotfl: ) and am trying to find my folder with all my notes for the speech I need to evaluate.

I saw a holocaust survivor speak and I took GREAT notes- she was a great speaker.. and Tom moved them. He admits to moving them. It's driving me nuts. He moves EVERYTHING and forgets where he puts it. Unless it's his X-Box controller, of course.
I'm having Tom anger issues at the moment. I woke up at about 10 am and the front door was wide open...and he left for work at 7:30! People are constantly going up and down this street, because of the school, and my purse was right inside the door!! :scared1:
I called him and he went "Oh, well, I guess I forgot to close it"
WHAT?! :rotfl: How do you forget to close the front door?? :scared:

Boys...:sad2: :rotfl2:
I'm obsessive about locking things. I check so many times to make sure it's locked!:rotfl:

Uh huh.
My old car didn't have automatic locks. He NEVER locked his door. In the three years I had that car, and the year I lived here without him, I never had any problems.

Within two months of dating him, he left his door unlocked and I had someone steal EVERYTHING out of my car. Then again, shortly after he moved in.

Craphead. :sad2:

...doesn't beat the night he flooded the basement (it was partially the sink's fault) and him and his brother were mopping water out of the basement back door and when he came to bed I said "You locked the door, right?" "Yeah!"
..the next morning I go downstairs to get something out of the dryer and not only is the door NOT locked, it's wide open as well as the screen with the little thingiemajiggie pulled that keeps it open so you can bring things inside. :headache:

Anyone could have walked in whenever they wanted at any point in the night. :scared1:

Ooo that is scary Patsy!!! You better knock some sense into that boy soon! My dad usually makes sure everything is locked. I feel unsafe even with my apartment bedroom door unlocked while I'm sleeping!

On the basement flooding note...shortly after we got carpet put in our basement some 12 or 13 years ago...probably more...our basement flooded due to the washing machine something about the pipes they leaked. So I know how you feel about a flooded basement! Our first dog lived in the basement too...poor thing.:guilty: Good thing she was a big dog!

We keep having talks. He just doesn't learn. :scared1:
The new house has THREE doors to the outside, too. I'm going to get a bunch of those chain locks for the basement door and probably the side door in the kitchen.
We only plan on using it for a doggie door for Rink, unless it's summer.
I keep telling him, especially with baby, that crap won't fly.

He's just not afraid. At all. Iraq did it to him, he claims. He doesn't fear anything here because he finally feels safe. Thats nice and all, but not realistic. :headache:

...aww, poor doggie! Luckily, neither of our animals go down there.

I'm successfully avoiding my mountain of work...

This is the picture I got from the website:

This is the picture Tae Ja took from underneath looking up. I asked if she would post it.

I was not clear as to what I wanted her to post, so here it is. I hope she does not mind and when I learn if she is OK with it, I will post it on the two other threads I follow. (Tae Ja--OK to do that?)

THANKS YOU FOR THE PENGUIN TAE JA!!

So, I have to write a speech. I have to have a BOOK (no internet) for at least one source.

Would it be weird if I wrote the speech about pregnancy? It's supposed to be informative, if I read it correctly, so I could take about the different trimesters, different tests they do, old wive's tales, etc.
I'm trying to utilize the resources I have here because I don't want to shower just to go to the library to get ONE book.

I don't actually give the speech, just write it and e-mail it in.

Not sure if this will help but it might give you some peace of mind. After we were robbed a few years ago (:scared1: ) we found these little stick on alarms and installed them by the doors and windows. We turn the one by the front door on at night (you'd have to get in the habit) and if the door is opened, it loses the magnetic contact with itself makes this screaming sound. We have them on our downstairs sliding glass doors, kitchen window (those have a piece that you pull out to set the alarm) , and a different type (with an actual on off switch) by the front door. We keep the alarms on the sliders and window engaged all the time, and set the one by the door every night.) Believe it or not, we got them in Walgreens.

I think that's a great idea. You'll have fun with it since you're living it.

Jan, I sent you a PM.

Patsy, I'd write a report on what I know and for your it'd be pregnancy. Go for it. There's so much info out there on the www.

I gotta go, but one last thing, can we see pics of the rooms you painted Lisa? popcorn::

Wow! Great colors Heidi...LOVE it!

I'll get some pictures together when we're all done. So far we've torn up the laminate (Pergo) flooring (because of a fridge leak), replaced it with tile (I actually helped tile and grout), put up 4' of white beadboard, painted the top half of the walls taupe, painted the bathroom (I did all the painting), got new throw rugs, and our brand new verticals arrived today (waiting for the installer to call). Then up will go the new curtains and we'll be done. Tough time of year for all of this, I don't want to think about putting Christmas stuff up (I usually have it done by now). We've been living in disarray so long I just want to get done and settled! :scared1: :scared1:

Thanks Lisa...they're Disney colors!!:goodvibes I know what you mean about disarray...when I was home for fall break my parents were having mine and Holly's bathroom redone and we all had to share my parents'...:scared1: (The new bathroom looks AWESOME by the way...I'll try to get pictures. I meant to while I was home I just ran out of time. ) And now Holly is painting her room but she wants to put Nemo's and fish on her wall and she doesn't have all the colors yet. Our living room is SCARY!!!!:scared1: Littered with all her stuff! For one person she has a lot!:rotfl: It's where we put our tree too... Let's see if we can get it up when I go back home for winter break in a week.
