Indianapolis electrical workers union volunteers string ropes of garland and lights on the monument in the center of the city.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving there is a big tree lighting party with a stage set up, singers, sometimes performances from Dance Schools in the area. Santa comes and he lights the tree with the help of a child who has won the privilege from a coloring contest by turning a big key and the other big key was turned by the Mayor and his family.

We went one year and FROZE so this year we watched it on TV while Tom put together shelving units to install in our closets.

Thanks. The whole point of me trying to leave early-ish was to NOT be driving in the dark! Every time I stopped my mom wanted me to call her when I got out of the car and call her when I got back into the car and had locked my door. It made me just want to run to and from my car!

The first time my bro and I did our brother/sister trip to WDW I was 18 and had never really driven up to his college (WVU-Main Campus) by myself before.
I was working two jobs at the time -Burger King by day and I hosted special events at the local Country Club on nights/weekends, too.
I had a Christmas party that night and got out late. Our flight was at 7am and I got out of work about midnight, and I was supposed to meet Greg at his apartment and then drive from Morgantown to Pittsburgh together for the flight.

I had to stop at this creepy, creepy Rest Stop in Fairmont, WV because I just couldn't hold it anymore. It was 2:30 in the morning, pitch black, freezing cold and there were all these trucks parked. I called my brother because I didn't want to get out of the car with people knowing I was alone.
I've never peed so quick in my life!!

I know what you mean!!! And for some reason I have this fear that someone will break into my car in the 2/3 minutes I'm gone in the bathroom. I think it has to do with the fact that a lot of times I'm traveling with most of my clothes and my iPods. Don't want to lose those!!

I totally lock my purse in my trunk whenever I'm traveling by myself. I keep cash in different places in my car (like $20 in my glove box, $20 in a CD case, $20 in my ashtray, $20 in the console, etc) so if I have to stop I just reach for something and grab some cash and go in.
I'm always afraid to leave the car with my purse and even more afraid someone might see it if I leave it in the car and be waiting for me when I come back.

When I am driving, day or night,on a trip or near home and come back to my car, I unlock it, open the door so the lights turn on and look on the seats and floor spaces to make sure everything looks OK.
I have TINTED windows so sometimes I have to open other doors to see.

I don't care how it looks--paranoia is not all bad

I have my cell phone ON me all the time--usually in my bra.

I have a vain question for you all. I bought a blouse, very similar in color and style to this one below, but in satin so it looks a little darker.

What color pants do I wear with it?! I am at a complete fashion loss as to what to do. I want to wear them to our christmas service. Any advice?

So it took me 9 hours to make a 6 hour drive back to school...
I sat in CRAZY traffic getting onto 95... I really have no words for how horrendous traffic was. I knew it but I felt like my parents were saying it shouldn't be TOO bad. Thank goodness that was my last Thanksgiving in school!

Okay. If I don't do it all Tuesday, I won't get it done. Here is my todo list (Notice, I've wasted hours on the internet today instead of doing ANY of these!)

• Finish All Homework/Assignments/ Tests/Finals
• Work 40 hours between M and W-Sat. (No idea on next week)
• Clean the house and flea treat!
• Both animals need baths (flea)
• Finish Christmas shopping/wrapping
• Complete the requirement of the VA Inspector so we can close on our house (and we don't even have the report yet!)
• Hunt down about 6 bank statements for the mortgage company
• Find clothes that fit... (Harder than one would think!)
• Shop for clothes to fill in gaps for cruise

I leave for my cruise December 13th and it's all gotta be done by the 12th!!

I hope you get all your to-dos done

When we were driving to Yellowstone, we stopped at Mount Rushmore and Crazyhorse. We were on this road and it started getting dark. Well there were NO lights, No signs, No other cars, No houses. Well the imagination started. All of a sudden I see headlights coming from behind us. I thinking this is it we are going to die, they are going to pass us, block the road and kill us. No one is going to know we are missing or where we are. So I screamed at Rich "Get us off this serial killers highway from hell." So he PULLS over to look at a Map. I yelled WHAT ARE YOU DOING? This is when they get you. So we get back on theroad. THEN HE PULLS over for gas!!!! I am NOW Freaking out!!!!! They get you NOW TOO!!!!!! Needless to say-we got back on the main highway and stayed on it!!!!!

ETA: Back to the safety while driving topic: I always check my tires when I walk out of a client's home, store or rest area. I figure it's easier to get help for low tires when at the location than once I hit the road again.
