Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

:scared1: That's creepy!!! Luckily I've known my OB/GYN for a bit before she did an actual *annual* on me. Although the first time I met her she did touch my ****s!:rotfl: I was convinced my senior year of high school I had breast cancer cause I had a terrible PMS symptom. I love her though she acts all sweet and everything I feel comfortable with her so I'm happy that such an awkward experience such as that kind of appointment isn't made more awkward by a creepy doctor like yours!

No kidding..

You want to talk about akward? My surgeon was holding my ladies in his hands drawing on them when he goes "Wait, did you used to come to your mother's appointments?" "Yes" "Oh, I DO remember you. You were very young."

I'm like, great. He's holding the gals and remembering me at 7 years old, when he operated on my mom's gals. :rotfl:

*ETA* Okay, Chelsey-- my friend who just had the baby that I'm in love with? She said she got false negatives until she was 2.5 months along. Only knew when she went to base hospital and they did ultrasound. So apparently not so reliable these days.

P~ that's so funny. The snarky one in me would say to the dr. post op, so, do I look like my mother now?

I'm sorry :upsidedow I'm just in a mood

Haha, I hope I don't look my mother in that way. Those things have been mutilated by cancer-- I remember being in the changing room with her when I was little and asking her why her **** looked like frankenstein's face. :rolleyes1

OH Vicki  what a horrible way to find out who your real friends are and who will stick up for you. Take all the information to defend yourself with (even with a lawyer if need be).

I have a copy of the Hipaa law, Rich thinks it was a blanket get everyone in troube then look at each individual. Rich and My boss seem optimistic I how ever pessimistic!

definitely! you shouldn't feel like you did something wrong and have something on your record for protecting your family-- whether a problem employee or not!

right and hopefully they see that. The supervisor who was on that night was shocked when I told her I got written up!

Awww. Thanks! Thats very nice of you.

I've now missed two periods. However, sites like this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20060925084041AARBuIA
and what the one OB/GYN nurse told me are what confuse me.

Called my doctor to make an appointment and she can't see me until 9/15!
Anyone else think that is ridiculous??

Yep!
look at this: http://pregnancy.about.com/od/amipregnant/a/missedperiod.htm
I am probably in number 8 but want to be number 9

You said you might have screwed up your pill-which would screw up your hormones which would cause you to miss your period. Just a thought;)

Oh wow, that IS neat.

I don't know if I'd ever stay there though. We spend so little time in the room, I can never justify paying more than for Value, especially with Greg being down there- any time the parks are closed I'm at his place or out with him.
Maybe on a special occassion (Greg and I talked once when eating at Ohana about coming back with our own families and staying at the Poly-- that I'd splurge for!)

Did I mention he's in love with an Australian? I'm crossing my fingers. ;)

P~ I wonder if you can find out sooner if you went to an immediate clinic? Just a thought.

I know I've listed links to articles about false negatives but they weren't because I think thats my problem (I don't think I am, which I thought I said before-- sorry for any confusion if anyone thought I was trying to prove I might be pregnant still!)
I posted them because someone mentioned the accuracy of the tests being very very reliable these days, and I just wanted to offer up an article I found interesting- and surprising. It's not a clinical study, but it surprised me! :scared1:

I don't think I am. If so, I would assume something was wrong with me that the tests are negative and I'd go to a doctor, with or without insurance. I would imagine it would be a very important thing to get checked out if I actually thought I was- both for me and "baby".

Now I'm more concerned as to whats wrong. I didn't realize until I looked at a calendar two days ago that I'm now late on #2, as well. Now it's more perplexing.

T, what is an immediate clinic? Like, a place for a blood test?

 duh me- immediate care or ugent care.

Eeek. I'd be paying out the butt for them to refer me to my phyisican which is what they always do ... or at least until insurance kicks in.

My doctor's "association" (through a local hospital) does have a clinic with later hours that you can generally get into within a week if you absolutely HAVE to see someone (I think doctors in the "association" take turns staffing it) and they just fax the chart/records over to your main doctor and then your doctor's office calls you for a follow up. It's a nice program. If nothing by then, I'll probably go there for peace of mind and then keep my regular appointment with my doctor.

Biggest annoyance is that it's over a half hour away.

Again, I realize how my posts could make people think I was fighting back to say "Here, I could still be!"...

I wasn't. I'm sorry. :grouphug:

Do you think they will get (the REAL) Cap'n Jack in to tuck folks in????

Patsy, not sure if I missed it or not, did you ever take another test (or two) since the first one? If not, take another one early in the morning when you first wake up. I would think if you were indeed pregnant, it would show up if you're two months late. If you get another negative result, you might want to see someone to rule out an ectopic pregnancy or other issues. The suspesne would be killing me. (Not trying to tell you what to do, just trying to help! :grouphug: )

Thanks. I appreciate it!

It is suspensful, but I don't know... so much else going on it's easy to distract from my mind.

I just wanted to make sure everyone knew I wasn't throwing their advice back in their faces, I just found the article interesting and surprising. Don't want anyone thinking I was trying to argue with them!..

...I mean, I already have a baby.. a 12lb Shih-Tzu that is laying on my foot right now chewing on a squeaky pig! :rotfl:
