Yeah... At least you're somewhat close to the beach-- you can pretend you're at Castaway!

If prices keep climbing, we'll never get back on board. When I booked the cruise we were all on together, it was under 1k for BOTH Michael and me.. it would seem a miracle to get those prices these days. Everything is going up and the economy seems to be slowly crashing. It's sad.

Tom will lose his job in 11 months... I suppose there is some security in knowing when, but it's still scary to know that no more $ will be coming in..

Before we went to Kings Island, dh was investigating park prices. KI dropped theirs, but Disney did not. How Disney of them *sigh*. I don't think Disney is ever effected if our American economy is bad.

I'll probably sub when school starts again. I'd still love to find some kind of computer work to do from home but that's not easy to do. I keep trying though, it would be optimal.

Sometimes I really wonder if we'll ever be able to get back on board. This was pretty much our last chance while all three of my kids were still in school and able to utilize the clubs. If there is ever a "next time", I will have at least one out of high school! YIKES!

Oohh, I just looked. I could surprise him! We're going to the Military Day at Kennywood Sat, 9/20 (free tickets for OIF or OEF Vet's!) and I could probably Priceline a hotel and get some tickets for the Sunday Matinee and come home that night! That'd be a pretty snazzy little weekend.

OK my turn to soulbare! I know I told you guys about the floors reading chart of people who were in the ER. Well when we were in the ER they looked at ours(Amanda, Tim and Me) I looked in our charts to see if they did. Anyway last week I got written up for violating Hipaa. I got the next to the worse punishment the Final Written Warning! (The person who read our charts got fired) Well I wasnt suppose to but I told people at work, they couldnt believe it! Even the supervisor who was on that night couldnt believe it! Well I had a week to fight their punishment-which I did! Got a phone call from the person I wrote the letter to and I have a meeting Friday to discuss the letter with him! I realize I did not follow procedure looking at our charts. I have read so many policies and the Hipaa law till I am blue in the face! Wish me luck!!! I really dont want to go talk to him because the last meeting I had with Human Resources they used my statement to hang ME!!!!
What really makes me mad is NO ONE has apologized to anyone for this happening!! OK all done!

We were actually booked on the same cruise as Vicki and Jessica. Sadly, DH lost his job in June so we had to cancel and use the money to live on (our cruise was paid in full and we were days away from booking our excursions). DH has recently found a part time job, so that helps a bit but we are all still very sad that our plans had to change.

Lisa, I'm so sorry! I'm glad he's working again, but so sad you had to cancel your vacation. Things will get better.

I realize it's probably a major violation-- but at the end of the day you know everything on there so it was more of a "to catch a theif" type situation!

OH Vicki what a horrible way to find out who your real friends are and who will stick up for you. Take all the information to defend yourself with (even with a lawyer if need be).

definitely! you shouldn't feel like you did something wrong and have something on your record for protecting your family-- whether a problem employee or not!

Suprisingly, not excited to get working again. I've been so bored the last month and a half and then I woke up today and realized I go to Orientation @ 3 and my house is a MESS!
I'm going to end up doing what I did the day before Vegas-- cleaning the entire house and doing 12 loads of laundry, folding them and putting them away and packing at 2am and then getting up at 6am to drive to the airport...
I'm looking around and trying to figure out what I've been doing the last few weeks!

On the other front, today should bring . #2 but there is no sign. So here in a few days, if nothing, I'll probably go to Women's Care place (free) and see if they can offer any help for my own peace of mind before we head to Orlando. Since I don't have insurance yet.. I'd rather go there and make a nice donation than go to a doctor and pay ridiculous prices to just be seen.

Patsy~ My mom works for an OB/GYN and i asked her last night if false negatives are a common thing. She said no. And I said that I knew someone who was worried because she was 3 and a half weeks late and she said that if you're that late that it is virtually no chance its a false negative because the pregnancy tests these days can tell WAAAYYY before then if you are pregnant. If i remember correctly the earliest ones I've seen on commercials can detect 5 days before a missed period? I find it weird to take one before a missed period...to me that would give me false hope cause I've heard of false positives before!


(As a footnote. I want to say that ANYTHING is possible with human biology so I don't want to give you false hope I just hope it eases your mind a little and worry/stress less! But whatever the outcome, I'm sure you'll make a GREAT mom! )

I wish I could say it is but sometimes one of my mom's doctor's can book waayyy more than a month in advance!! I am quite knowledgable in the OB/GYN field. Don't know why people would be that anxious to go?

I had to do that whole lovely scenario when I started taking birth control, the lady FREAKED me out. She kept talking about nice, creamy and beautiful my skin was.

I wanted to be like- okay, lady, if you're trying to make me comfortable you're just making it WORSE!!

That's creepy!!! Luckily I've known my OB/GYN for a bit before she did an actual *annual* on me. Although the first time I met her she did touch my ****s! I was convinced my senior year of high school I had breast cancer cause I had a terrible PMS symptom. I love her though she acts all sweet and everything I feel comfortable with her so I'm happy that such an awkward experience such as that kind of appointment isn't made more awkward by a creepy doctor like yours!
