Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

I can feel them wiggling around right now.. THAT is amazing.

Well, I don't always feel it. It comes and go.

I'm sure that will change sometime in the next 10 weeks.

My day-by-day journal (It says things like 'Today the umbilical cord does this' and yada, yada) says the baby will double in size this week or something like that. I forget. I read it weekly so I have a general idea and I'm sure it's not exact.. but nifty.

It says I'll notice a major size difference.

I'm already showing. It's exciting. I love comparing my week-by-week pictures!

You'll get there.. and maybe be a bit more prepared than me...

It's daunting, this growing up stuff.

I'll bet! I'm still trying to cope with the fact that I'm GRADUATING in MAY! And I'll have to enter the real world and get a real job and have real BILLS!!!:rotfl:

Oh.
Bills.
Crap. I forgot about those. (J/K!)

I hate bills. And I have two sets at the moment.
Two gas, electric, water and city.
A mortgage. A few credit cards. Property taxes for two vehicles and a house. A car payment. Car insurance. Medical bills (Amazingly, the pregnancy has only cost us about $150 so far!)... a braces payment (which is a whopping $12 a month less than the car payment)

I would really like to NOT have a few of my bills. :(

Tom wants lasic. I told him once we pay off his braces and the car, we're tackling student loans. He can get lasic when he wins the lottery.

Aww poor Tom.:rotfl: I want to get my eyes lasered when I graduate. I just want to do a consultation to see how much it would be first. Some places say prices starting as low as like 99 an eye or something like that. I think that's pretty do-able...but with my eyesight...it would probably be WAY more than that!!:rotfl2:

I think it's 99 an eye if you have vision like mine.

I don't need glasses. ;)

He's going to check into picking up vision at Public Debt next year (It's a federal job, Department of the Treasury) and one would think their insurance would be good.
I told him if it's 1 month worth of paychecks, he can do it. Otherwise, I can't swing it. It's impossible. It'll have to be a take some out every month specifically for that and THEN he can go. I just can't do another payment right now AND house repairs AND baby. Too much.

He thinks money grows on trees, I swear. He gets $317 a month spending, I put it in his account and he can do whatever.

...then he'll ask me where my last check went.
Poophead. Look at the 42" Plasma you're playing X-Box on and the crib. THATS where my check went Mr. Lasic Eye Surgery ;)

(I'm not a total stickler- He has credit cards too which I pay with my own checks or out of our bill account, so he's not LIMITED to $317.. he's just limited to $317 in liquid funds!)

Patsy--so, so sorry. I think four generation pictures are VERY special and something I would have loved too so totally understand what you are mourning.

How about a collage? Not the same, but good none-the-less.

Also, it helped me to think about the idea that my Grandma knew my babies before I did. That thought still makes me cry.

 Jan

Aww that's so cute.:goodvibes
Looks like you already have a kid on your hands!:rotfl: :lmao:

Yep.

Pretty much.

We've got a few savings accounts (One for Disney in 2011!!) and another that is enough, without any extras (no Olive Garden, no XBox Games, no extra ANYTHING) that will cover bills for about a year to a year and a half if it's without braces and car...

Tom keeps saying "Well we can just borrow it from.."

NOPE! I cannot smack his hand quickly enough for even thinking about it. :rotfl: :scared1:

I'm really not a stickler but I really think he thinks it grows on trees. Boy has no retirement (I have an IRA and a 401k) and has never given it a second thought. He just doesn't think about what could happen, he doesn't plan for the future.

We're totally different and I'm so glad I'm the one with the checkbooks! :thumbsup2

Ooo you sound like me, Patsy!! I used to never spend my money. That changed when I got to college...:rotfl: I mean...I didn't get too bad or anything, I never would touch my savings (which reached about 5400 before Australia happened...:rotfl: ) but there were definitely times when we were at Disney World when I wouldn't even look at the price tag and just say I WANT IT!!!:lmao:
Naturally, with my car payments and insurance payments...I have gotten myself back in check with not spending on unnecessary things. I do splurge on the occasional Edy's ice cream, of course... :rotfl:

Mmmm.. Edy's ice cream... ICE CREAM!! :scared1:

Our "Emergency Savings" a.k.a. Tom's "Let's just borrow it from.." account has about 14,500 in it.
Note: This is due to the wonderful fact that we do NOT pay rent where we are. Tom had no savings when he met me and my travel arrangements caused mine to be depleted regularly. When we met I foresaw where we are now: House, baby, grown up things, etc. and I started a savings account. Not bad for a year or so plus. I just didn't really see the baby this soon, haha!

I really don't want to touch it. Really, really don't. It 's tempting when you walk into Lowes and see such pretty things and get so many ideas (Or like Tom wanted to get a more expensive house and use that as a down payment) but I stuck to my guns and it's still all there.

Life is just DANG expensive. But seriously, paying $160 a month on braces is just RIDICULOUS! :sad2: I cry a little everytime I make that payment (with the Disney Visa, for those Disney Dream dollars, baby!)

::yes::
You just make sure he wears those retainers, Patsy!!!

::yes::
You just make sure he wears those retainers, Patsy!!!

I just paid $275 to have mine redone (Rink thought they were a toy, OY!) and I still wear them maybe once a month. (But in all honesty, I haven't had braces since 10th grade.. so what, 6 years?? and my teeth haven't moved a bit!)

I'm going to be horrible at reminding him to wear retainers and I'll so feel crappy if it's one of those "DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO" type things!! :rotfl:

Oh well. I'm off to sleepy world.. Tomorrow is visitation and way too much time with way too much family. :sad1:

:rotfl: She doesn't know whether *they* are a boy or a girl so she can't say a gender specific word so she says they or them.:rotfl:

Yes, quite true.. Thank you, Heidi! :goodvibes

I don't like saying "It" and "Them" comes out instead.

It better not be an unconscious slip. :scared:
