Disney Wonder Sept 3-7,2006 Part 2

I have a belly like that, but no baby :rotfl2:

I'm sure I will too, I LOVE me some yummy delicious food.

I just love that picture because I think I'm finally showing! :cool1:

(Right? :scared: ??)

((bummer about missing Coco Cay! The waters were pretty rough for us, too.. the tender was going everywhere!)

Jan, I am so happy for you and the fam. Congratulations on Sophie  what a great way to celebrate two births and the new year!

Lisa, is Logan a senior this year? :confused3

congrats on your closing Patsy! How exciting :cool1:

Patsy, what a horrible stupid reason not to like you. Hopefully, with time, she'll come around and realize what she's done/doing.

Congratulations on the house Patsy!!!:goodvibes

Sorry to hear about your Grandma. I hope you get to spend as much time with her as possible in her last few days here!

Yes, he is! (Though I'm not really sure where that time went.:confused3 :sad2: )

Me neither!:rotfl:
I swear just a couple of months ago I was a freshman in college and now I'm graduating in a little more than 4 months?:confused3 Scary stuff...I'm not quite sure I'm ready for the real world! Can I stay at the beach a few more years??:rotfl:

Pssst LISA! Can I move in with you in Florida?:flower3: You're close to the beach, right??:rotfl2:

I married into the greediest, money-grubbingest family EVER!

Our house came with appliances. Tom and I got HE Whirlpool front-loaders about a year ago .... (washer/dryer)

...WELL. It's a gas dryer. The hookups in the new house are electric and we don't want to run a gas line because we're going to add a laundry room eventually so why run the gas line that will eventually be obsolete if we don't HAVE to? We figured we'd use our HE washer and the electric dryer in the meantime, no big deal, kwim?

So far we have received a call from Joe (brother), John (cousin), Jim (uncle), Ivy (grandmother) and Tony (down the street) wanting the washer and dryer we "got for free with the house"..

UH. We paid for them, they were written into our contract. (Er, well, we'll start paying for them Feb. 1st anyway ;))

I just seriously cannot get past this family who consistently expects something for absolutely nothing. :confused3

Nevermind when we bought our HE pair we gave Joe (brother!) the old set!

...but in good news, a member of his family who has essentially been blacklisted by the others (heck if I know why, I liked him a lot!), is completely redoing our bathroom which used to look like this:
bathroom.jpg

Today alone...
  • Ripped out all the floor tile (asbestos)
  • Removed the tub (cast iron)
  • Got rid of the sink and toilet-- notice the PINK!)
  • Put down a new floor (the lady must not have realized the tub needed new grout, water was getting underneathe the floor and had rotted out a part of the old floor, but we knew that from the home inspection)
  • Tore out the mini-wall where the shower head is to replace some plumbing and lay the new floor
  • Rebuilt the wall he tore out
  • Re-tiled the mini blue-tiles he had to knock off to remove the tub (he took them off so carefully, they can be put back on, he only broke TWO)
  • Removed the wallpaper
  • Sanded/patched imperfections in the wall so the paint will look better
  • Removed the medicine cabinet and capped this useless wire behind it and ran fresh wire to give us a recepticle (this bathroom had NONE! :scared1: )

AND He's going to go back Friday or Saturday to finish painting, finish the plumbing, lay in the new bathtub, put in a new toilet, new medicine cabinet, lay ceramic tile for our floor, grout around the tub and seal it all.

We bought all the supplies but for labor he asked for a measley $160.
He's been there since 6am, we left him at 9:30pm and he was still working.
We gave him $200 tonight (but he doesn't know that, he didn't count it.. Merry Christmas, Nick!:wizard: ) and plan to give him another $50-100 whatever day he chooses to finish.

Amazes me that this is the cousin that is blackballed. :sad2:

Oh, MERRY CHRISTMAS!! :-D

I've been in my new house all day today, it's clearly what is on my mind! :)

Time flies way too fast for all of us. The older we get, the faster it goes! :scared1:

C'mon down Heidi. We'd have a blast!

Patsy, congrats again on the house. That's awesome. :dance3:

Sounds like a bunch of winners in Tom's family.... at least you've found one who seems more normal. Some of us are still looking for that one.....:confused3 :rotfl:

He sounds like a keeper to me! :thumbsup2
Be sure you post a side-by-side photo of the room when it is done next to this one. PLEASE ::yes::

If you want to get rid of any appliances, I think I would offer them to him. If you are keeping things until the laundry room is done, then keep them. People who expect hand-outs tick me off. (See my self-tag about idiots.....)

(One of Tom's cousins was black listed as a child because she was a late-life baby for her parents and treated as a princess. She is the same age as Tom's younger siblings and since she wanted for nothing and their family was living lean, they were jealous of her.
He did not pay attention to their gossip so was not impacted by it. I think she is a really neat lady.
Jealous is a nasty thing :scared1: and the people who spend time being jealous miss out on some super friends.)

:santa:
MERRY CHRISTMAS:santa:

NEW YEAR
