Disney Wonder Panama Canal May 01, 2016

We are those parents. We take the youngest out for all kinds of trips.

I just don't think he has any idea of how big the ship actually is. LOL. He will be surprised.

Tell him that on our EBPC in Sept '13 there were less than 300 kids on board. We expect some of the same numbers this time since most of the schools will still be in session, although there are some that will take their kids out of school for the Panama Canal. Even on cruises we have been on with more kids, I think a few of them are very well behaved. Not a lot of screaming and crying. And with the adult areas, he can retreat and get some peace. Looking forward to talking to you thru the months.

Can somebody please tell me what fish extender is?

It's like a gift exchange. Outside the doors there are fish for leaving notes. You hang a "fish extender" on this and join a group to exchange small gifts. There should be much more info on the boards to explain it better than me.

One thing I am actually really looking forward to on this cruise is less children... and the reason is... less busy by the family pool. I love relaxing by the family pool (or deck 10 above it) and watching movies on Funnel Vision (or the dumbo-tron if it's still called that). Looking forward to there being more available seats - however I am sure the adult pool will see crowds like I have never experienced before.

hope everyone had a safe and relaxing holiday weekend. We just secured our hotel for pre-cruise. Got one across from Bayside on Biscayne Blvd for 230. total (all taxes and resort fees) and it includes breakfast and transportation to the port. If its allowed, and anyone wants to know, I'll be happy to share the name of the location. And there is a CVS across the street for those last minute necessities. Now all I have to do is find us flights....
I'm so looking forward to this trip.

We're staying at the YVE Hotel 146 Biscayne Blvd. there is also a Holiday Inn a few blocks down. We stayed at the HI for a post cruise night this past march. For next year the YVE was less expensive.

I just booked this cruise a couple of days ago. It will be me, DH, Aunt and Uncle. We have heard lots of wonderful things about the PC cruises! We couldn't go the past two years, so I'm hopeful this cruise will work out for us! We look forward to meeting everyone!

Can anyone shed light on dressing in princess dresses? Currently DD loves to dress up but who knows for next year. I just don't want to haul a bunch of dresses and then not have her wear them but don't want her to miss them if there is an opportunity to wear them. She has them all! Is there a reason to wear them? (we will all be dressing up for pirate night but don't tell DH, he doesn't know LOL)

She was only 2 years old on our first cruise so our focus was completely different.

I saw lots of girls of all ages in princess dresses quite often. Formal nights, Prince and Princess dinner night, Princess afternoon tea, Princess character photo opportunities, Frozen night(Anna and Elsa). Only thing to say is no Ariel nowadays for a while. Anna and Elsa have taken her place we heard. We did see her at the rotational dinner in Tritons though. I would take her favourites and then you are covered for the times she might want to wear one.

Been reading through the posts. Didn't recognize your screen name as I hadn't been on the DIS for awhile..but hello Kimberly! (we were on the WBTA together)

At the moment, I'm planning on staying in FLL with a group of people before the cruise. I live in Florida, so I'll get a one way rental car. That way I don't have to worry about long-term parking and can then fly back into MCO.

It'll be just me and the cute dog in my avatar. He's my service dog Jagger. Will probably do a day or two in San Diego after the cruise. I considered DL, but I have been there before and I thought it might be fun to take Jagger to the zoo.
