Disney Wonder - October 14, 2012 - Hawaii

Is it cruise time yet???? After watching the Disney Christmas (and the DCL section), I am ready to go... :cool1::cool1:

Happy Holidays and Merry Cruises.. :thumbsup2

Whoops - I see I did two islands and then the holidays came along. Since we've got a bit of time before the cruise (or excursion booking time), I will get back to those soon.

Here's the address for our pier in Honolulu (O'ahu):

Pier 2 Cruise Terminal
521 Ala Moana Boulevard
Honolulu, Hawaii 96813

Driving from Honolulu International Airport to Pier 2:

Start out going north on Rodgers Blvd. toward N. Nimitz Highway for .1 miles. Turn right onto HI-92 N. Nimitz Highway and travel 5 miles. Nimitz Highway becomes Ala Moana Blvd. Turn right on Channel Street. Once on Channel Street, the cruise terminal is on the right-hand side.

Driving from Waikiki to Pier 2:

Travel on Ala Wai Boulevard heading west. Turn left on Highway 92 (Ala Moana Blvd. merging into Nimitz Highway). Turn left on Channel Street. Once on Channel Street, the cruise terminal is on the right-hand side.

Well, no changing of plans here - Hawai'i is on! Airline tickets purchased (just got a great 50% off fare from LAX to MEX to finish the deal) both ways. Now to sock away the funds for excursions!

¡Feliz año nuevo desde San Miguel de Allende, Gto!

Michael

Happy New Year everyone!

We made our flight arrangement, now to get a hotel, and transportation booked!

Happy New Year to all of my fellow cruisers! party:party: It's going to be a great 2012! :cool1:

Happy New Year!

We are back from our trip to the World, through Christmas...so now there isn't anything left to obsess about, so I will now be turning my OCD to the cruise :goodvibes

No idea what we will do in port yet, so I guess I should spend some time researching and thinking a bit. Also a good time to start on FE gifts! Oh, there is so much to do.....:rotfl: In some ways it feels like there is less to fuss with than a WDW trip, but its all so new that I think I can spend some quality time on the project.

I'm thinking vaguely about clothes already. I've been trying to plot out the number of nights v. the number of themes, etc. Are any of the rest of you going to really dress up for formal night? Do we have more than one, with it being a longer cruise?

I saw the post about shirts, etc but will confess to having no idea what the various options are and what is involved as this is the 1st cruise...anyone care to elaborate on the various opportunities? TIA.

Gaooy HEHappy HEALTHY New Year!!!
Joyce:hippie:

ps: since I am mostly a lookie lu and not a poster I hope this post comes out OK.:confused3

hi can you add out room number to the fe list etc - lynne mcb - 7008. its on the spreadsheet but not on the front post

Hi everyone! Happy New Year!

WOO HOO! We are going to Hawaii THIS YEAR!!:yay:

I just booked a pre cruise hotel stay in Calif - with hopes to make our FIRST visit to Disneyland!!!

I found a code on the trips message boards - for a great discount -
$59.00 per night - at the HOJOs - which is ranked # 4 in Anaheim by Trip Advisor and has great reviews!

Just go to

http://www.hojoanaheim.com/

Put in your dates and use the code LKEP

It is the Entertainment 50% off code - the thread on the other boards said you will have to show your entertainment book card upon check in - but I am going to check with the hotel to be sure - even if I do - it is another $25 for the book ( I think) and they are usually sold as fundraisers -with lots of other discounts in them. FYI - It is non-refundable but you can't beat that rate!!:cool1::thumbsup2

I booked 3 nights - the 11th, 12th and 13th. We are coming from NJ - and I am not sure what day /time we will leave / arrive -- Airfare is HIGH right now to say the least! $600+ per person ( hubby will only fly non-stop) Hoping for an airfare SALE between now and our trip!

Hope this helps some of you!

Enjoy your day!
Sherri

Aloha Everyone!!

My DD (Nichole) and I booked our cruise (or should I say rebooked) while on the Dream. We do not have a room number with the rebooking, but it is a Category GTY9C.

Please add us to the list and also include us for Palo and lanyards. I would be happy to volunteer (need to go back to page one to get caught up). My translantic cruise was so much fun in 2010 due to all volunteers and great information shared. I had found this site a little more than a couple of months before sailing that year, so this time I want to be a more active participant.

My daughter is a DVC Member so we will also be staying on Disney property. This cruise is for my 54th birthday on October 18th.

Welcome Aboard Sharon. :yay:

I added you to the list (http://dcl.trapperhq.com/20121014/Oct14_List.htm). Palo's right now is a wish list and you didn't mention your wish or if you are currently Early/Late dining. This thread will hopefully get more active the closer we get to launch.

Dear Holly and Mike (ppartekim),

Just checked your master list...Could you add us three (3) to the lanyard list? And we are three adults (at least until we get anywhere Disney related! :lmao: )
...Thanks! :thumbsup2

That is a very nice offer. We look for a hotel from oct 7 and then go 3 days to disneyland and perhaps MNSSHP. The other days we would visit LA.

But how can I book this hotel from the Netherlands with that discount? Do I need to have that entertainment card. And how do I get that here?
I looked at that hotel, but now it is such a lovely offer.
Anyone that can help me, thanks
