I just tried to PM you, but unfortunately, your PM is not turned on in your account settings yet. Check out the following set of posts that helped another member get their PM's up and running, and let me know when you are ready, and I will try again to send.

Andrew, I just tried to send you a PM and was blocked. Can you go into your account settings and make sure you are set to except messages from other members.
Thanks,

~Tink~

Try checking settings under your profile.
To do this, double click on your screen name in the top right hand corner of this page. Then, on the left hand side of the screen under settings, click on contact details.
Now in the center of the screen you should have your message preferences. The second check box in this section says " accept conversations from..." Make sure that says 'members only'.

Hopefully that will allow me to PM you. :o

Looks like the settings are right - maybe it takes a little bit of time for DISBoards to register the post count and allow conversations? I'm not seeing a way to send you a PM, so that'd be my guess.

My only other thought is the privacy tab. However, I think that is what you were refering to orginally.
Under the Privacy tab, do you have Start Conversation with You set to Members only?

While waiting, I will continue searching. :guilty:

Hello, I would Like to Join the Fish Extender Group.
I will get to all of the welcomes and adds and questions first thing tomorrow guys. I am terribly sorry. I have been trying to fight off a migraine and was headed to bed when all of the messages started to come in. I can't look at my tablet screen much longer with out crying. Please check back in first thing tomorrow, and I promise to get everything done.

This is our first Disney cruise and I have just now learned about the fish extenders. Sounds like so much fun and I think our kids - ages 6 and 8 - would love this. How do I join a FE group?
Welcome aboard Moon Pies!
:welcome::welcome::welcome:
You are in luck, we started a group 3 just a week or so ago for all of the late comers. I will add you to our roll call, and to the group 3 FE.
In order to get you on to the spreadsheet for the group, I am going to need to get some information to you and then from you via PM. Here is were I need your help. To be able to send / receive PMs, the DIS board requires that you first reach 10 post. You are already at 1, so you only have 9 to go. It is simple, and the posts can be very short. As soon as you reach 10, I will shoot the FE message to you.
One other question, have you taken a look at the group activities we are planning, and if you have, are y'all wanting to be added to any of the lists.
Talk to you soon.

~Tink~

Now to answer Pam87Gnz's questions:

Mixology Class?
Mixology is an adult only class in which you get to learn how to make some of Disney's signature cocktails. The cost is $20 per person (which is well worth it), and the activity (if we book ahead of time, which is supposed to be 30 days prior to sailing), will be for a group of 20 to 25 (we still need 5 more people).
During the class, one of Disney's bartenders, will give us hands on instruction on how to make (I believe) 5 to 6 drinks. When I say hands on, I mean participation is highly recommended, and just a side note from a past participant, volunt'EAR'ing makes the experience much more fun. Plus, everyone gets one of each of the drinks we are learning how to make. So, if you figure on 5 drinks @ $20, you would be getting each for only $4. If it is 6 drinks, each would be $3.33 a piece. Not to mention all of the fun. And if you are not a drinker, you can still have fun. I personally am not a drinker, but I did volunt'EAR' and had a blast. I tried a sip of each drink and then gave mine to my hubby. We would love to have you join us.

If you are a beach person, Castaway is a perfect vacation all in its self. Imagine being on your own private island (with a few 100 friends of course) that had everything you could want for your tropical getaway. You have beautiful beaches for relaxing and soaking up the sun while the kids build sand castles. There is are 2 separate water parks out in the lagoon. Plus the water is perfect for snorkeling. On the beach, you can also join in a game of volleyball, or take a short stroll to the other side of the palm trees, and join in on a dance party. The island is separated in to areas for every age group as well. You have Serenity bay that is a peaceful oasis for the adults, a teen beach, a family beach, and Scuttles Cove for the little tikes. Now if you are not one for sitting in the sand with your toes in the water all day, there is a game pavilion with pool tables, basketball, shuffle board, giant chess and checkers, Foosball, and ping pong. Or if you would rather, there are also shops scattered through out the island. For the adventurous type, there are kayaks and other water crafts you can take out in to the lagoon, a mini marathon (5K) that you can run, bikes to rent, and a look out tower at the end of the run way to climb. Finally, for the foodies, and just plain hungry cruisers, there is a BBQ buffet that would please any appetite.
So, long answer short, no matter what you deem to be fun, there is something there for everyone!

What is there to do for a 15mo old and 3 yr old?
For both the 15 month old and the 3 year old, there are a few things I think they will enjoy. The obvious answer of course is the nursery and the Oceanears club, where there are great age appropriate activities planned. There also will be a gingerbread house to explore and a chance to build your own. Then you can't forget the character meets, and the special holiday activities like Santa, Snow, and caroling. I also think that they would enjoy some of the nightly shows. Up on the pool deck during the day, they show movies and shows like those found on the Disney channel, and Disney Jr.. Another activity that may be overlooked is dinner. The wait staff performs at their best for tables with kids. They do everything they can (and then some) to make the kids dinner time a fun time. Oh, and you are going to want to take them to the deck parties. This is a time to dance and have a great time. They will also get to see their favorite characters during these parties. And finally, my most favorite thing (I think that it has something to do with being Tink) is bedtime. We always set aside one evening to order cookies and cocoa from room service (even with the boys almost grown) and then check out the starry skies above the bunk bed to see where Peter, Wendy, Tinkerbell, and the boys are hiding.

Are ginger bread houses fun?
Okay, this is a tough one. The exploring the gingerbread house, we love it. But then again, we love the extravagance that Disney Imagineers are able to create. So the just being in awe of them is a great experience for us. Now for the building a gingerbread house activity....hum....depends, do you like doing this at home? I have heard many people say they have a great time watching and helping there kids build the houses. Me on the other hand, find gingerbread house building frustrating. I just can't seem to get the right ratio of icing to gingerbread to be able to get my walls to stay up. But hay, I guess trying is half the fun (why only half??? well, you still have to eat it!!!!)

What is there to do after 10pm?
After 10 is adult time on the boat. Route 66 will become an adult only area at night. The clubs will have different venues which offer different pub / bar/ night club experiences. You will be able to dance, go to a comedy show, take part in a game show, or just hang out and have a drink. You can also take advantage of the pools and hot tubs when they are not full to the max. Finally, one of the best things to happen on the boat after dark is the Pirate Party and fireworks show. This is a fun night for all, plus they have a dessert buffet after the fireworks. YUM!!!!!

Will the Magic cruise ever come to galveston?
I do not have a definite answer on this one, as I do not have my crystal ball. I donated it to Disney for the Haunted Mansion.:rotfl2:
But my guess would be no (which is a disappointment to us, because that means we have to either travel to Europe to see her or to Miami...Which scares me). As the Magic can not make it through the Panama Canal, she has been given itineraries in Europe, and on the east coast. However, if the Wonder gets similar upgrades to the Magics, she may not be able to make the trip through the Panama Canal either. If that happens, I predict that the Wonder will become a Pacific sailings only vessel, and the Magic may pick up some of her Caribbean sailings.
We can always keep our fingers crossed and hope!

~Tink~

Okay, I think I got all the PM invites out, and all of the questions answered. If you notice I missed something, or got something wrong. Please let me know, and I will fix it.
Thanks,

~Tink~

I have added a poll for group 3 FE members to help me know when you want the group closed. The poll should appear at the top of your page. Please get your feed back in as soon as possible.
Thanks,

~Tink~
