There are a few location options. I will post a few links for you (click on lot name).
EZ cruise parking
Discount cruise parking (we have used this one 2 times before. They are family owned, very nice, and helpful. They will even transfer your luggage from your car to the shuttle for your)
If you don't find what you are looking for at either of these, try going to Galveston.com (clickable again). They have a few more options, but these are a bit more expensive.
Let me know if this helps.

It looks like you covered everything for the FE. Would you like me to include you on the messages for the group meet planning? We have had 2 break offs from the original. One for the ice cream social, and the other for the cabin crawl.
Fun side note, our oldest son who is traveling in another cabin with his girlfriend, is also 19.

Kathleen60 I will add you to all 3 PM'S, and you can respond with what you want to jump on board with. Just to save you some deciphering time, there will be 1 specifically for the ice cream social, 1 for the mixology , and then the last one is the group meets in general. If you want to join in on either the ice cream social, or the mixology, please chime in on those PM'S. If you are interested in the meet and mingle, or the cabin crawl , you can chime in on the general one. You are welcome to join in on all if you like, or you can pick and choose.

I can help since I just did this :) I went to this website http://www.portofgalveston.com/index.aspx?NID=91 and just did it all online. It saved $5 to do online and I have a spot. You will need to print out the agreement and bring it signed, but it will tell you to do that when you register.

This is our first cruise as well and I have never used this facility before and hopefully someone will chime in and let us know if they have used it before and how it is.
Thank you so much!!

Just wanted to let everyone in group 1 know that one of the cabins in that group just messaged me to let me know they had to cancel their cruise. So if you are in that group, and had replied to my special request, it looks like you will only need to add 3 at this time. Sorry for any confusion all of this is causing.

Group 3 is set. I just need information on ahoymickey15+3, and cantubunch.
The extra helpers are shaded in blue (from group 1) and green (from group 2), and their special FE info (favorite color, initials, ...) is shaded out so that those making special gifts do not accidentally make duplicates. If any one else still wants to be an extra helper, you are still welcome. I can always make adjustments.
The spreadsheet is ready to share, so if you can please contact me through PM with your email (if you have not already been added to the google doc share) so that I can get the spreadsheet link to you.

I know I read something about it on a previous post and wanted to verify... We will or will not be allowed to get autographs from the characters on the cruise? I was going to get autograph books for my girls but dont want to waste the time/money if they arent allowed this time!

You are still allowed to get autographs on the cruise. What has changed is that they will no longer be allowing guests to drop items to be signed off at guest services to be signed. If you want to have the girls bring their autograph books (or for anyone else wondering, any item you want signed), autographs can still be acquired when the characters are out for their meet and greets. The Navigator will have a section for character appearances. You will want to check that daily to make sure and set aside time for each character you want to see. Some of the more popular character will be out more than once for meet and greet opportunities. Plus on special nights, like the Captains Gala, pirate night, and possibly the coming of Santa (not sure about this, I have only heard rumors), characters will come dressed up for special photo opportunities. One more thing, on previous cruises, they have had ticketed meet and greets with some of the princess (like Anna and Elsa). It does not cost to get a ticket, but you have to get a ticket ahead of time to be able to join those meet and greets. So, check with guest services when you board to see if there are any meet and greet tickets you can get.

I just posted the following on the PM for special FE request. I wanted to post here as well in case you missed it or did not get the PM.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know, I just received an email from elsafan. She said sorry, but she was having to remove herself from the FE.
She was in group 1, cabin #8510.

Have a great weekendeveryone.

Monday's Forget me Not's -

Happy Monday everyone. This weeks Forget me Not's are more of a what to forget type of thing.
I know that some of the items I will be listing today are going to seem like a, "Well that is obvious" kind of thing, but keep in mind that items on this list (and the ones on the complete list I will provide a link to at the bottom of this post) are similar to warning labels on items such as, " Do not use this blow drier while in the bath", or " Do not drink this poison, it may be hazardous to your health". These warnings and guidelines have to be added in print (be it on our cruise contract or the side of a bottle) because someone out there already tried what we are being warned against. So, all though it may seem common sense to us, (unfortunately) not everyone has common sense. Also, I put in a few that are just down right entertaining (but on the forbidden list just the same).

Items that are not allowed on board:
- No weapons of any kind (shucks, I can not bring my loaded lazer cat.....SNL fans hopefully are laughing)
- Any pet aside from a service animal (see above)
- Realistic looking toy weapons
- Any non prescribed controlled substance (medical marijuana is included in the not allowed list)
-Power tools and tool boxes (I am guessing Bob the Builder has to find new luggage)
- Sporting equipment (this includes snow skis / poles, and fishing gear - you must do all of your deep sea
fishing on excursions only. The excursion operator will provide all of your gear)
- Kites, balloons, and pools (yes, pools are listed as not to bring)
- Wagons
- Bicycle, skate board, or any foot wear with wheels (and I am sure that if Back to the Future had actually
gotten the time frame right for our scientific advancements, hover boards would be a no no as well)
- Rice cookers or hot plates (sorry you have to suffer with Disney's wonderful food)
- irons
- candles
- game stations
- Homemade or precooked food
- Personal Fireworks (I think this may have already been covered in weapons. If not, I think it should be
based on how some people that are traveling with me use personal fireworks)
- Lighting strings (ie: Christmas lights)
- Liquid Oxygen
- Power strips, extension cords, and surge protectors
- Any non-magnetic door decoration (this is a personal add on from me. The reason being, is that I witnessed
a teen decorate her cabin door with duck tape. Her parents were stuck with the steep bill of replacing the
door as a result. Oh and by the way, as an answer to the question of why didn't I stop her, when we were
walking by, the door was already 90% covered.)

A more complete list can be found here.
It also has a list of exceptions to the list with restrictions.

Happy packing!

Hey Tink, I noticed on the Disney Blog that the cruise right before our's on Nov 20 has just been offered a military discount. If I have PIF and a discount is offered on our's will I be able to go back and receive it or am I out of luck since I didn't book after the discount was offered?

I am not 100% sure on that. I would definitely check with my travel agent. I know mine checks for available discounts that would help my price, and applies any that will lower my price. I have never had a discount after paying in full come available before though on a cruise. If you don't have a travel agent, try contacting Disney directly. It never hurts to ask.

WooHoo! :yay::jumping1:

We are only 2 months away from our vacation. :beach:

In just 9 short weeks from today,
we will be high fiving cast members with Giant Mickey hand :smickey: ,
endulging in yummy Disney food :stir::cake::love:,
dancing at the sail away party party:,
and setting sail on our 7 days of fun and sun :sail:.

I just followed one of the ads on the side of the page (which I normally don't do), to read more about Disney's Holiday cruises. It has been years since we sailed during the holiday season, and Disney had added so much to its offerings, that I was curious. Just in case anyone else may be hungry for insight into our up coming adventure, I copied the list of what is offered, and am pasting it below.

I think I just might pick up some coal (Santa's candy coal), and some twigs for a stocking stuffer . We did that for our boys stockings when they were younger just to see how they would react. I would have to follow up the next day with an orange from the buffet though. Blame it on my German heritage.
