Disney Wonder November 27, 2015 Roll Call

This will be the first cruise for my husband, son and myself. I've been reading up on stuff and I'm excited to do the FE and decorate our door. Past that I have no idea what we are going to do.

This is our 6th Disney Cruise, and I will be happy to help with any questions. One of my favorite parts of Disney vacations is the planning. We actually have a planning party every month to keep the excitement up and get everything ready.
I will add your name to the list of group members, and put you in the FE group as well.
I will need some information for the FE. I will send you a PM with a form. If you could fill it in and shoot it back to me, that would be great.

This will be our 1st Holiday sailing, so we were considering going with a Christmas themed door this time around. We were thinking of maybe a magnet wreath, and some magnets that are the shape of stockings, with our character names on them.

**side note, disney has released regulations for door decorations. While they encourage everyone to decorate their doors, they have said that you are only aloud to decorate your cabin door using magnets. Anyone using tape or other means to hang items on the doors (whether inside the cabin or outside ) will have a fee added to their bill / account for the cost of repair for the door. This doesn't include the fish extender, as it is hung on the fish hook beside your door. ​

I recruited some help for the making of our magnets for this sailing. On our last cruise, there was a member of our group who made several cool disney items for us (and others in our group ). Actually, she has an Etsy site where she sells mainly handmade Disney items like hair bows, pillow cases for character signatures, and door magnets. The site is on Etsy under MeridaMerchandise. Check it out, you will love her items. I especially liked the Stitch pillowcase she made for our youngest last cruise. She had it packaged and ready for us to give to guest services so they could pass it around to all the characters for their autographs before returning it to our cabin.

first cruise was Feb 2013 on Magic out of Galveston

it was our first cruise as well as our first disney...didn't think we would be able to do another, but couldn't resist castaway cay out of Galveston

So you will be my go to person for Galveston departure questions. We have never sailed out of Galveston with Disney. We (DH and I) will be sailing out of Galveston at the end of this month on a Royal Caribbean. I am trying not to set my expectations at a Disney level though.

Super excited that finally after some convincing 2 of my brothers and his family are going also. YEAH!! We booked Dream last month just to get discount and on board credit for this cruise. We are excited to be going on our first cruise of any type!!!!!! It will be me, my husband and 2 sons (17 and 11). We are already researching and planning.

And as for finding your way around the site, it did take me a bit to get comfortable with it as well. If you have any problems or you get stuck, just let me know, and I will offer what ever help I can. If I can't help, we can figure it out together.

I am leaving this Saturday for an Anniversary trip with my DH

We are cheating on Disney and taking a cruise on another line . Needless to say, that means that I will be with out internet access from Jan. 25th to Feb. 2nd.

It may a bit early for this question...but, I will ask anyway. Last time we cruised out of Galveston we parked at BOI Valet. BOI Valet is out of business and VIP is now in their spot, but they are not parking for Disney cruises . Therefore, trying to figure out parking options - are y'all planning on park and cruise at hotel or just parking at near the boat?

We LOVED that BOI was inside, protected parking. I can't find anything offering inside protected parking. Do y'all know of any?

We are staying at Hotel Galvez before and they provide free parking for the cruise. I have not researched any other locations.
