Thanks so much, really new to this so I dont even know what to do!! lol First cruise for us all, celebrating my dads 75th birthday aboard! How do I get a cake, anyone know, do I call directly? When is Pirate night? When should we do Palo? So much I have no idea....do we do our door in a theme?

You can order the cake on the in room gifts tab on the DCL site or you can just call DCL.

Pirate night is night four, if I'm correct. So that would be Wednesday night. Again, you can ask when you call to order the cake.

For Palo, it's up to you. You can ask when you call about the cake if they can tell you what your dining rotation is. Lots of first time cruisers don't want to miss going to Animators Palate. You might want to plan it for a night when you are scheduled for Parrot Cay or Tritons. HTH

I am good with whatever the consensus is. Instead of doing gifts for each individual, you could do one per stateroom. I would love to hear what other people think!

Hi everyone,

So happy to have finally found this thread. We will also be on this sailing!
We actually did the same cruise in February and had a blast. Since my daughter's birthday is 11/10 and mine is 11/18 so we thought this would be a good week to celebrate both of our birthdays. We booked this one while still onboard in February. We did book GTY so do not have a cabin # yet for the list.

This cruise will be me (Johnna), my husband (Ray), daughter (Bella, age 11) and son (Rayce, age 9). We also have 3 other daughters that are staying home with Grandma. They all came in February but it is too hard for them to miss school (one just started high school).

We participated in the Fish Extender group in February and had a blast getting our gifts together. It really acts excitement to the cruise when you come back to your cabin.

Awesome!! My son's birthday is November 10th too. He will be turning 10 years old!! Great way to celebrate these special occasions!! BTW happy birthday to you and your daughter!!

I am so sorry for whatever loss they have suffered that prevents them from this trip.

NO worries!! My sister ended up going on vacation with her friends instead. My brother got his first job out of college so he didn't get the time off.

I think the FE group is up to 43. You can give a gift per cabin or you can give each person a gift. It's entirely up to you. It's not like a white elephant exchange where everyone just brings one gift. The idea is to deliver gifts to each of the cabins on the list. HTH

Everything is good!! My sister ended up going on vacation with her friends. My brother got his first job out of college and didn't get the time off to go with us. Oh well!! There is always next year!! Thanks for asking though!!

I only count a total of 65. Of course you would subtract the # of people in your cabin.

We went out shopping this evening, so we already bought for everyone. We will be delivering to all the staterooms on the FE list .

We have just joined this forum and I am trying to figure out how my family can be involved with the Fish Extender Gift Exchange and the "Meet and Greet". How do we sign up? How often and how many gifts do we need to prepare? Where do we meet and greet?
