Actually there were alot of fish right there off the beach not the most beautiful but fun for the kids ...we even saw a puffer fish! My kids didnt go to far and still saw alot

And yes the pools are heated.

I cannot believe it is almost time. If only I didn't need sleep I would be caught up and ready to go.
Still working on FE. I feel in love with them I made 1 for me for each of the 3 days also.
I have to go into work tomorrow since I didn't get sub plans done today. My boys are so excited and just can't believe we are going.
I can't wait to see their faces when we swim with the dolphins.
The 3 year old is excited for his special bed.

Unless I bring my "still packed suitcases from my 3-week trip for my son's wedding. At least I washed everything before leaving my daughters. So much going on since I've been back from Virginia. They have speeded up the layoff process with a "Transition Package" offer to leave on December 31st. The Union has kept me busy and I have actually gone into the office 4 days this month and today I was gone for 4 of the 10 hours. I have been busy all weekend booking some big packages for clients (good thing as I'm going to need the money when I am on unemployment from my full time job.)

I am waiting on a large check (mailed Monday, usually takes 1 day to get here from Sacramento) and it still isn't here. BUT wait...

Now for the REALLY bad news, I ordered my FE over a month ago with a need by date of Nov, 17 (since I would be in VA and not able to receive the package before then) I emailed her on the 20th saying I still hadn't received it and was informed it was still number 8 in line because she didn't have a "need by" date After explaining I was leaving Thanksgiving day for LA she completed it and I paid an extra $15.00 for her to express mail it to my post office box. She did this Monday and I STILL don't have it. If I don't get it by tomorrow, I will have invested $50.00 and will go on my first Disney Cruise with NO FE. BUT I have everyone else's gifts.

I will get on that ship with whatever I have and a smile and nothing else matters.

The way I see it, going on our first cruise is like our wedding. We spent months and months planning everything, trying to get it just right. Stressing about all the little details. Then when the day came, not everything went as planned, but we just let it go and enjoyed it as much as we could.

We have spent hours now trying to plan for this trip, trying to make sure we don't forget anything. In the end, hopefully we can just let it go, accept that we won't remember every little thing and just wing it, but have a great time either way.

Its just days away now, woo hoo!

I just have to finish sub plans for work, my fathers birthday party, thanksgiving, and a baby shower. Just a quiet weekend.

Who's Finished Packing?

How about "un-packing"? I am bringing way too much stuff, so now I am in the phase of pairing down and deciding what does not need to come with us. For instance, I wanted to bring the walkie talkies for the boys, but decided that they will be too busy to even use them - plus we will have the wave phones, so Kenny and I will not need the walkie talkies as originally planned. Then, we were going to bring some packaged food items, but now that has been greatly paired down. Next, the big decision about the kids' favorite "puffy" blankets. They would be so happy if I could bring them, but the two blankets will take up one entire suitcase. Hmmmmm. Of course DH thinks I am nuts and is telling me to not bring them. Ahhhh, but the adorable look on my 5 year olds face when he snuggles into his "big puffy blankie". He would feel so much more at home if I brought it.

Okay, so my issues are not as great as Travel G's.....wowsa. TG - try not to worry about your FE gifts if they don't come! (although it is quite a drag to have paid $50 and not get them). If they don't come, maybe you could just pick up a stack of postcards and use that as an FE? Just a thought....

Melissa - it looks like your boys are around the same age as mine. We are swimming with dolphins on the first Cabo day - so maybe we will see you there. Which day are you going?

Can't wait for the next few days to go by! Thanksgiving will be a nice time to rest. I am at work today too, but only until about 1pm or so. Then off to the dentist and to do some last minute shopping for the trip.

By the way, how about that weather report?? I think they said things will clear up and get really warm for the weekend. Sunny and in the upper 70's (I think). GREAT!

I'm packed, my daughter is not. I'm anal, she is not. I even have clothes laid out for Sunday morning! (Don't tell my daughter as she will make fun of me)
I live near Malibu, the weather in LA for Sunday, Monday and Tues. will be unusual high of 82. So sea days will be perfect. We really lucked out on the weather. So pack shorts too! I want to know if 16 pairs of shoes for oneself is a tad too much? :rotfl2 We didn't bring the husband's so we'd have more room in the suitcase for ourselves!

TravelG - I ordered our FE off Ebay in early Oct and had to chase down it down two weeks ago. Got the lame excuse of OMG I didnt realize you were in Canada it won't make it in time. What part of my address didnt you read? If it is the same person I made them send it to me Express mail at her expense as it was her screw up not mine. She did and we got it but it was dicey there.

Looking forward to meeting you all. A retorical question....why do you have to work three times as hard at work just to have a vacation and then your reward is twice as much work when you get back!

Regardless by the sounds of things on here it is going to be so worth it!
