Disney Wonder May 25th, 2008 Double-Dippers check in here

:cool1: Just a few months to go!

We picked up our pre-cruise documents from the travel agent last weekend, and now that it's finally 2008, it seems right around the corner!

Don't laugh, but I've literally been dreaming about being back on the ship!

Hi Everybody!

I am now in the mode of thinking of what to pack:rotfl2: including looking for pirate costumes for our boys.:)

We have finally made our plans for our post cruise mini-vacation. We are staying a few additional days after the cruise at ASMo and hitting the parks!:cool1: We really wanted to stay at WL but couldn't justify spending the money for such a short visit and having very little time to enjoy the resort itself. We hope to spend a week at WL in 2009!:thumbsup2

I cannot believe we are only four months away! It seems like just yesterday (Jan. 07) that I was on the phone making our reservations for the cruise. Next thing you know we will be boarding the Wonder and hopefully meeting all of you!:goodvibes

Has anyone ever ordered gift baskets from Shirley? I'd like our boys to each have one. I'm really hoping to make this a very special and memorable trip for them. Any other recommendations to make this a vacation of a life time for two very excited little boys (and of course Mom and Dad) would be very helpful and appreciated.:)

That looks like a really nice basket. I think I will order from Shirley as well. Thanks for sharing the picture!

I am starting to think about what to pack as well. For pirate night we all have Pirates of the Carribbean t-shirts that I bought at Disney in the fall. Not sure yet about what to do for formal night. I wasn't thinking of being all that formal. Probably just khakis and button up shirts for the guys and Macy and I would wear a nice skirt and top - similar to how we dress for mass on Sunday. Will this be too casual???? We aren't planning to do Palo so I wasn't planning to bring really dressy stuff. On the regular dinner nights, has anyone see women dressed in the longer dressy bermuda shorts (with a nice top and heels/dressy sandals)?? I have been wondering if that is acceptable or not.

122 days and counting...:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hi, my husband wants to do Palo and my daughter is old enough to take our son to dinner by themselves to a snack bar or buffet. I read that those places are available for dinner - am I right? I know we need reservations for Palo, but we think we are gonna wait til we board the boat. I've read enought posts to know that you can still get them after boarding the boat, if you board early. The problem is I only want to go on our night of our double rotation - either the first night scheduled for that restaurant or the second. And I won't know our dinner rotation til we board the boat. Right?

Gosh, I can't even imagine thinking about clothes yet. I haven't even made my ADR's for WDW! I want to lose a few pounds before we go, so I will probably shop for me at the last minute. Now my 13 dd is thrilled about getting cute clothes for the trip and I will probably start soon for her. We've talked about it a little and are thinking cute sundresses and sandals for her for dinner. My son is dreading dressing up and I want to know if khaki shorts and a collared shirt (Polo or short sleeved dress shirt) are okay for a 9 yo boy? He also wants to wear tennis shoes with his shorts. Since we are flying and staying at WDW for 6 nights, we can't bring too much luggage.

Any input would be great since this is our first ever cruise!

we are also staying at the country inn and suites on the night before! don't know what we are doing before and after just yet! school gets out here on the 22nd oldest dd has finals that day-would like to spend friday and sat. in WDW-but I bet it is crowded as it is Mem.wkend! maybe on the backside!

can anyone tell me how to change my profile? I have gone in and redone at least 4x's-hit reset and STILL shows my name!!!   :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

We will also be staying at the Hyatt the night before the cruise. We stayed there the night before our last cruise and it worked out well for us.

I can’t wait until February 25th so we can book our excursions!!

What excursions are people planning? I think we will do the stingray one at Naussau. Heard it was more interesting than the one at Castaway Cay - any suggestions?

Also, everyone got their passports? Kids and I ordered ours the other day. I haven't been out of the country, except Mexico, in years and mine had expired. Hubby keeps his up for business travel.

We get in around dinner time via Southwest. Direct flight, so hopefully won't have any delays. I heard the lobby and pool areas are very nice.

We went on an exursion with WaveRunner/Seado things...I forgot what it is called. And I LOVED it! It was so much fun. I definitely want to go again.

We really liked the Hyatt, although we did not get a chance to see the pool. Our room was an “atrium” room, so our balcony seemed right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the airport. However, our room was completely quiet – no noise from the airport once we closed the doors leading to the balcony.

For our Nassau excursion, I am leaning toward the Atlantis Aquaventure so we can play on all the water slides and pools. When I booked this cruise last year, we intended to stay on the ship during the day at Nassau, but I read about this excursion recently and it sounds like something we would enjoy.

I am really looking forward to just lounging around at Serenity Bay at Castaway Cay. When we went on our last cruise, Serenity Bay was converted to the Family Beach due to the damage done by Hurricane Wilma. The actual Family Beach was still open, but we were not allowed to even dip our toes in the water because the “shark nets” at the Family Beach were destroyed during the storm. However, I read that there are never any “shark nets” at Serenity Bay, so I’m a little perplexed by that. Maybe someone here can clarify?

Since we have two days at Castaway Cay :woohoo: I’m thinking we’ll spend one day doing the stingray excursion, snorkeling, and biking, then we’ll spend the other day just relaxing at Serenity Bay.

I'm envious of all of you that are going with kiddos - I would love to take my nieces with me and experience everything with them. They are 8 months old and 3 years old, so I'm hoping my sister will give in to my begging and bring her crew with us on a Disney cruise one day!

Well mine are a bit older(12 &16) but I'm sure we could work out a "share" arrangement....at least until they are in college!.:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao:
