Disney Wonder May 25th, 2008 Double-Dippers check in here

If there are any teens who are cruising with us, and want to chat with the rest of us...then check out this new thread...http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1700138

Savana - I'll try to get my 13 yo daughter on here, but she is shy. I am hoping she can make friends prior to us going so she will feel comfortable hanging out in the teen area on the cruise. Otherwise she'll be hanging with me and her dad. My son, I am going to sign up for his stuff for his age. He is 9.

Since our cruise is a surprise for the children - they won't find out until we get to port, hopefully. But I have a ds12 who will be along. But I can't tell him about the link since the cruise is a surprise. I'll watch the posts so I can relay some of the names of the kids his age on ship once he finds out. He's pretty social so I think he'll be fine making new friends.

Savana was the same way on our first cruise..she is actually very shy, too. She enjoyed the teen club but, she was alone most of the time. My son was in Oceaneers. She spent a good amount of time there...mainly after dinner.

One "teen" activity she did was the Wild Side at CC. Next time, she will wear sunscreen. ::idea:

Oh, I forgot our "details"...we arrive the 23rd, staying at the Radisson, going to Kennedy Space (Fri)...we are in 7036 & 7037 and we are stying a couple days following cruise---still gotta work out those details!

I admit...I am very shy around people I don't know...but yes I loved the teen club...it was fun...The Wild Side is cool too, but it is a good idea to wear sunscreen. :yay: :dance3: :cool1: :hippie:

Hi all - just found this message board and thought we would sign up and get some good tips and we're overwhelmed by the amount of information - all good of course. Past cruisers here but not on Disney Cruise Line. This will be our 3rd year in a row for Disney - and we're thrilled.

We've got a 5 yr old girl, 3 year old boy, and a 1 year old boy from NashvilleTennessee ready to go! Deck 8 - category 4 - see ya there!

I subscribed to the board, so when we have time to post - we will.

Hey Everybody. I'm "michellecprouty" 's daughter. I'm so excited about the cruise. It's going to be great. I can't wait to meet everybody.

As my mom posted earlier, this will be our first Disney Cruise. As well as my siblings and mine first cruise ever. While it's my parent's second.(non-disney).

Well I don't know about you guys, but I don't know I can wait for May 25th. Only 3 months to go though!

Hi mblonghorn - I'm originally from TN. West TN, but now live in AZ. We are deck 8, cat 4. We will be in room 8066 - come by and introduce yourself!

Savana and yippee - I mentioned to my daughter the thread for teens for this trip and she seemed a little interested, but still hasn't got on. My daughter is funny and not the least bit shy around all of her friends, but when she meets a new group of people she is standoffish and somewhat shy until she gets to know people. Like her dad. I was the same as a teen, but "blossomed" in college. I make friends very easily and hope she will as she gets older. I am not the least bit shy. My husband says I can make friends with a wall. :rotfl:

You mentioned savana spent a lot of time in the oceaneers lab. My son will be signed up for the lab, but are the teens allowed in? I'm confused.

OH, she and Savana sound EXACTLY the same!!::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Sorry I confused...My son (now 12) spent a lot of time in the Club. Savana spent time in STACK. They BOTH spent time in Ocean Quest(06)--age 10-14. Teens are not allowed in the Clubs.

4peaches, you should definitly convince your daughter to check out the thread savanna made. I'd like to get to know her before the cruise. I'm sure if she got to know us she would be less shy on the cruise

yippeeDCL: Im sure I'll love it. I'm so ready for May. It's going to be great

Hey, I was wondering if anyone was planning a meet and greet kind of thing, something where we could all meet face to face on the ship? Even if it's just for 15 minutes or so (I'm sure we'll all have tons of things to do).

Great idea guys! The upper deck is usually a good meeting spot. Let's hold off on "deatils" until we are closer---we'll see if that works for everyone. party:
