Disney Wonder May 25th, 2008 Double-Dippers check in here

Hello again and Happy New Year!! I can't believe that we are only four months away!:cool1: I booked this cruise Jan. 2007 and our room has gone up $800 since then!:scared1: Is anybody coming in the day before? We will be staying at the Radisson. We can't wait!!

Jeanne

We're coming in on 5/20 and staying at POFQ. We are going to hit the parks for a couple of days prior to the cruise. We booked the cruise the same time your did, TheM&MBoys! Can't believe it's already been a year!:cool1:

Karen: That sounds great!:thumbsup2 My DS will be graduating from preschool the Friday before we cruise.:woohoo:

We are still undecided as to weather we should visit WDW for a few days after the cruise. We are concerned that it will be overly crowded since it will be Memorial Day weekend.:sad2: We will have to make up our minds soon. We still have to make arrangements to stay somewhere!

Any suggestions or advice would be helpful.

TIA! Jeanne

We were there last Memorial Day week (actually 5/25-6/3) and the crowds were not that bad. We were at Epcot on Sunday, Sea World on Monday, then we did MK on Tuesday & Wednesday, Epcot on Thursday, AK on Friday, then MGM on Saturday. We were at MGM for Star Wars Weekend, and the Flower & Garden Festival was going on that week, too. We had no problems with the crowds and were able to ride everything we wanted to (including the thrill rides for my teenagers). I think it's a great time to go. The weather was great, too.

This will be our first cruise! It'll be me, DH, and DD4! Very excited, which is surprising since I am not the sun and surf kinda gal. I haven't had a tan since 1988! :rotfl2:

My family will be cruising with you all as well. Myself (16), my brother (12), my mom and my grandmother. We are so excited...for my grandmother its her first cruise. And the rest of us, this will be our third.

We are coming in the day before and staying at the Radisson too!

Us three! :) The airfare from OKC to MCO is sooooo high, we're going to attempt the 20 hour drive with our DD who will be five by then. My mom did the drive from Texas to Disneyland in the 80s with a six, five, and four year old, so I should be able to do this, right? Right?

CarolinaBlue: Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Memorial Day weekend. I am now planning our post cruise stay at WDW!!

Heartbrokenlovergirl & family: Welcome aboard!!:thumbsup2

Nezgrrl: Welcome!! We will be traveling with our two boy's. Our oldest will turn five in April, and our youngest will turn four shortly after the cruise. They are 15 months apart. :) We too were planning on flying from Maryland, but after checking airfare my husband has informed me that we will be driving the 15 hours. :scared1: We have never taken such a long road trip with the boys! If we look a little frazzled...you will know why!

The time is getting closer!!

Hi Everyone – I am one of those “long time lurkers, first time posters” but I had to join when I found this thread! I am sooo excited about our upcoming cruise!!!

This will be the second cruise for my husband and I. Our first cruise was in October 2005; we did the 4-night Bahamas cruise and fell in love with Castaway Cay. Despite Hurricane Wilma, we were spoiled by DCL and cannot wait to cruise with them again.

I found the thread about the magnetic door signs this weekend and I think I’ve become even more obsessed with our cruise preparations!

I have been lurking for months now and finally decided that my first post would be to the gang "double dipping" the same week as my family!! me, DH, DD 15, DD 12 and DS 7 will be cruising the same week as you guys!! I can't wait I am ready to pack NOW!!! We will be driving as we are only about 8hrs from WDW-we will come in on Thurs. before ship leaves on Sunday-can't wait to meet you all!!!!!

I am getting sooo excited. DD (4) and I just got back from a quicky girls trip to WDW...now the preparations start for DCL!!! I think we will drive down too, and stay at the radisson. I had better make my reservations!!

Hi all. I haven't checked in for a while. Holidays and all got me off track on thinking about this trip.

Welcome to all the newcomers!:goodvibes

I finally booked our stay at WDW. We are staying for 6 nights after the cruise at the Wilderness Lodge. I was glad to read that (I believe it was CarolinaBlue) said they have stayed during that time and the crowds and weather weren't too bad.:scared1:

We of course have to fly, living in AZ, and the fare was much more expensive than I thought it would be. But that's life.

We are flying in on the 24th and staying at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport before catching the Magical Express to the boat in the morning. Anyone else staying there?

Hi Michelle! We live in Bibb Co (between B'ham& Tuscaloosa). This will be our third cruise. I have DD (16) DS (12)...my Mom will be joining us, too.

Welcome to all the newcomers! I've updated the list and we have 14 families so far. Just 4 months to go!:cool1:

I am so glad to hear that there is another boy the same age as my son on this cruise meet thread. I noticed there were alot of girls and was hoping that our ds12(soon) may meet some boys the same age from the Dis Boards.

Welcome.

We are flying in on the 23rd and staying at the Hyatt Orlando Airport. We'll be checking out on the 24th and heading to Cocoa Beach that day. We are staying at the Country Inn by port on the 24th. Is anyone else staying there the night before cruisin? When we return from the cruise, we are spending 4 days in Orlando and doing US/IoA/etc. Since we've done WDW and DL the past 2 years, we're trying something different after our cruise.

Can't wait for our cruise. I am so excited!!!!:cool1:
