Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

In previous cruises I've found the best way to deal with port upgrades (sometimes people even get pixie dusted!) is for everyone who is doing the FE to come to the meet and check in with the coordinator on the master list. It can be really hard to go and put change of information in to every room on the list, plus some people might be delivering right away. :goodvibes

We finally received our booklet with luggage tags today! We leave a month from tomorrow - time to get started on my FE gifts and some excursions. We have been spending a lot of time planning our two and a half days in LA. Hope to hit lots of TV show tapings while we are in Hollywood. Our best show yet is Jimmy Kimmel (was trying for Ellen but it appears she is on vacation that week) for the parents and Pair of Kings for my son.

In case anyone still needs hotel ressies for the night before, I just got the Crowne Plaza for $65 by bidding on Priceline :thumbsup2

If you need any help with LA planning, let me know - I'm local ( yup, I'm one of the lucky ones that just gets to hop in my car for 40 mins, made this cruise a great deal!!)

There is a kids meet and greet scheduled at 2:30 in the Promenade lounge on day 1. This meet is open to anyone with or without kids. We just want to see all of your happy, smiley faces!

If you plan on attending, please PM me your user name, number of kids, their ages, and their gender. I am going to try and have a little something for the kids. Attendance is not set in stone. I realize plans can change right up to the last minute. I just need an estimate of how much stuff to get.

We leave a month from today!! Getting so excited, I can't believe that it's almost here. I am so glad to see some positive reports on the MR, I was getting a little worried.

I also hope that we get to have the Disney Friends tea party on our cruise, I plan to head for tickets as soon as we board.

We will be at the meetup, looking forward to meeting you all!

We went to the Pair Of Kings last year. Get there early! It gets really crowded. If you are driving - watch the signs - lots of the area is 4 hour parking only so watch for an area that isn't. Just an FYI, bring something for autographs. All of the characters do autographs after the taping except Mitchell Musso (if I spelled that right) Unless something has changed, we were advised he doesn't do autographs. We were laughing, as we pulled away from the studio - he pulled out in front of us..I guess when it's over - he leaves as quick as possible! :rotfl2:

You can take pictures of them afterwards but not with them (unless you were able to get wristbands and can go on the floor)

Have fun! My DD loves to go to tapings. We have one scheduled for March of the auditions for America's Got Talent.

I have everything for our FE gifts!

We went back to Co. D today to see if I could get additonal items to match what I had and we lucked out overall so I am happy! Now to just put them together and pack them up!

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Me too. I also want to try to get the Palo high tea, to schedule some tastings, and to get a third wave phone :)

I know, all of those things are not in the same location, we may divide and conquer.

Does anyone know which day(s) the high tea is offered? does anyone have it scheduled?

Just a quick Hi from me . Hope everyone is well and they are finalizing details of the trip. Really excited here .

High Tea is only offered on Sea Days (like the brunch). It used to be from 3pm-4pm only, but I'm not sure if it has changed.

Thanks for the FE list (Donald). I have analyzed it by gender and age groups (yep, a touch of OCD), and my mind is whirling with ideas! Now, of couse, I have to remember to make an actual FE for myself and Ruby....

We are still planning on coming to the meet. we desperately need a friend for dd14. She is kind of shy at first so I was hoping that after the meet we moms could have a chat about when our kids would be at the clubs. If dd shows up at the club and there's already a few kids she knows it will be much easier for her and she'll have a great time. I hope to get her to go the first evening before she loses her confidence.

What dining time do most of you have? We are late. Our first time doing late dinner but I think it's going to work out nicely. More time in the evening before having to get ready and then not so much waiting after dinner for the adult entertainment to begin. Thats when I usually get tired and head off to bed. we've never made it to any of the dancing or comedians!

I have a DD14 and I am sure she would love to meet your daughter however - I am not sure how much time she will spend at the club. She was bored with what they offered in January and spent a lot of time in the pool and doing the games/trivia onboard. We will be at the meet though so they can meet up.

My daughter is also 14 and she is VERY friendly. We will be at the meet as well, so we will introduce them.

We have the late dinner also. Kind of worried about the 9 year old, but we'll work it out. He loves eating in the dining rooms, so I think his excitement will win out each night.

Do you know about the tastings, if we need to schedule them early, do they fill up? And if so, is that at Guest Services, like the Tea Party?

I am working on printing off door magnets today... (does anyone watch SNL, and know the Kristin Wiig character that is EXTREMELY OVEREXCITED and just can't contain herself? I am getting there )

Yeah, my DD doesn't plan on spending too much times in the club either. It didn't interest her much.

My DD will turn 14 on Saturday and is usually pretty friendly unless Aunt Flo is visiting (I know TMI, but does anyone else have this problem). During that time everyone better watch out :scared1: .

I don't think they fill up really quickly, but I have heard that they do fill up, especially the ones on sea days at peak times. Yes, you sign up at guest services.

My DD just turned 14, I know she would love to meet up with other girls prior to going to the club. She had a great time there in November. She is more outgoing, my DS (who will have just turned 11 the week before) is more shy. Sounds like our kids are the same ages so we'll definitely plan for the meet!

We only had late dining on our no-kids cruise...so I'm also wondering how my DS will do with late dining this time around!

We also have late dining. DH and I like not having to get ready so early for dinner and DGS who is 9 yr. is used to eating later anyway. I'm hoping he can meet some boys his age at the meet at 2:30, he is a little nervous about going to the kis club without knowing someone already.

We are on the early dining, perfect for my toddler!!! I have an almost 8 yo son, I'll be at that first meet up, I think we are on the same FE too - let's get them together!!! :yay:
