Still no docs from DCL. I figure they probably saw my credit rating and rerouted me to a cruise directly back to my hotel.

I'm definitely going for the patches just in case. I don't want to take the chance that I'm not seaworthy. I already know I'm not landworthy, and as we've already explored, creditworthy. No patches for that. My DW thinks I'm being hypersensitive, but all the other remedies don't strike me as being sufficient and my first cruise is a bad time to find out I can't sleep on the world's biggest waterbed. I can live with dry mouth, which is why I'm packing a suitcase full of Propel and a coupla wine bottles!

Can I board now?

mine came today regular mail, no tracking, etc. just envelopes with booklet and luggage tags.

I did the Outdoor Adventure with Vallarta on our last MR cruise and it was excellent, the highlight of our trip. It was definitely physically demanding though...but that's what I wanted so I was glad.

Our cruise docs arrived yesterday via regular mail.

Did anyone notice that the port times are back to the original schedule in the cruise docs?

Our travel docs and luggage tags came USPS today. We are flying in Saturday and spending the night at the Hilton LAX. Plan on taking the shuttle to and from the airport. The documents read like there some one who will be in baggage claim directing people. LAX is huge and there is apparently there not a DCL desk like at MCO. Anyone know where to go to get the bus from LAX?

Ok - so I called DCL to order a champagne gift package for Ashley and asked them where to go at LAX. She said to go to Terminal 5 - World Cruise Terminal at ground transportation. She says the buses at LAX will be branded with DCL like at MCO. Didn't think they would have them already but isn't that cool.

That's super cool that they'll have the themed buses; I'm just bummed that the terminal isn't themed like in Port Canaveral.

I've only used cruise transfers a couple of times. However, if you don't find the representative at the desk, you can always have them paged using on of the "house" phones. We had to do this once with Carnival as the representative was nowhere to be found. You will also likely find them in the baggage claim area if you don't see them at the desk.

Which champagne gift package did you buy? Is it the one with petit fours (sp?)? I'm thinking of purchasing this one as well. I was on the fence until I found this food review trip report and saw this: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2602433 Seems like a decent value overall. If you scroll down, you'll see a picture of it.

Kris, this makes me happy to hear that the times are back to the original schedule. I just went on the web site and they still have the wrong times I wonder why they can't seem to get the web site right.

Thanks for all of the wonderful info on the patch etc. I will see what Wendi Decides - We are going to rent a boat in San Diego and shes going to try the patch and see if it works LOL its going to be a CRACK UP !!! We are total comedy together so watch out !
As far as the zip in PV I am planning Disneys outdoor adventure ... I know we could do the other but I dont know what you get with that vs the disney one - The los veros seems like just the zip - although they seem very willing to work with my visual imparement so I may be forced to go with them ... we will have to see ( no pun LOL LOL I crack myself up get it we will have to see I cant see LOL sorry LOL im a nerd )
My docs came Friday YAY !!! I am getting REALLY excited now and Christmas is almost here and gone WOO HOO for one year in my life I want it to be gone and new years to be gone so I can SAIL !!!!

Last year we got the romance gift package. It came with champagne, chocolate coverEd strawberries, other sweets and two dcl robes. It was great, we used rhe robes everyday. When we got home we put the robes away and will bring them on this cruise. So long answer is, I only ordered 1157 package of the champagne and sweets.

On our wedding cruise on the wonder in '09 we actually sent this gift package to all our guest to greet them when they boarded. It went over well. So i recommend it.

Hi it's Dave and Jess. We're in 7064, unless we get a free upgrade to the Walt Suite! Maybe if I slip the Port Guy a $20? I know we got into the FE thing late, so please please do not feel obligated or anything... we're just havin' fun with the kids before they become teenagers and hate us. So no matter what it's all good! I love these icons! Just once I'd like to use them in a court pleading.

we are right down the hall. Last year we got a last minute free upgrade to a bigger room on deck 8. Sounded great. But every night we heard them drag deck chairs out above us and every morning put them back out. Argh!

Cathy: I don't know whether the itinerary in the docs is accurate or not, but I would think they'd print the most up-to-date information there.

Hi Dave, the FE "officially" closed but some people are making a few extras so hopefully there will be a few surprises at your door. I don't know how up to date the site is but I believe there are 18 cabins who originally signed up and then three additional now with bklawyer. Can Jessica/Ryan confirm this?

We had to order 24 of our gifts so we have plenty to include you.

I've been meaning to mention how great the timing is of your Buffalo Run. Are you leaving for Catalina out of Long Beach or San Pedro? Are you staying on Catalina after the race or near the port?

Pretty cool timing: a race and a cruise all in one trip!

Everyone: It looks like our cruise is officially sold out. I logged in today and saw that the only MR cruise with availability in January is the one after ours.

I did confirm when I ordered it. When you go on the DCL website, they now have different tabs for stateroom gifts based on your departing port. There was a tab for Canaveral, LA, Barcelona and Vancouver. LA and Canaveral were really close. The romance package I ordered last year was different that what is now on the website. I read on a post that it is still available when you call though (#2110 and it is called Romantic Encounter). I would suggest calling and talking through option with the representative. Also, keep in mind there is a delivery service charge and potentially tax (on alcohol) that isn't in the posted price. It is pricey but will get a smile out of Ashley and she will like to be to do a private sail away toast with Champagne. We are planning on bringing on some wine and maybe a some vodka for during the week. I also ordered a case of water. It is ridiculously priced but I loved having it in the room. If we were driving I would just pack the water, but it doesn't make sense to fly in with it.

I going to add Dave to our FE list, I have 18 cabins total (including us) on my list. The only room I don't have a room number for is cdnsluvdisney has any one heard from them? Got our cruise docs today Very happy to see the original times in writing

Could we give us your kids names? (if you don't want to give us their names on here could you PM them to me or Jessica?) I like to put names on my gift tags
