Disney Wonder Hawaii Sept. 2015

Platinum and Gold will be able to book first, then Silver, then the public. Hope there are good rooms left by the time it gets to Silver! :rolleyes1

Silver books with the new cruisers (public) unless they've changed that.

I just found that the sept 17, 2015 spot on the Honalulu cruise calendar (http://hidot.hawaii.gov/harbors/passenger-cruise-schedules/) that origianlly said disney wonder, then disappeared, has now been replaced with "Inchcape special". And the pdf's name is not longer "....without disney". Check out the hawaii port calendars for 2015 at hawaii DOT under harbors and then passenger cruise ship schedules. In googling Inchcape, they do act as ship's agents in various ports including Hawaii. An "inchcape special" listing now also appears on the Hilo, Hawaii port calendar in 2 spots, 9/13/2015 and 9/20/2015, maybe until DCL decides on a final itinerary?? Those dates are 4 days before and 4 days after the Honalulu date. Not sure what that means, since in the past DCL only spent a total of 4 consecutive days at the hawaiian islands, not 5 days. On the Hilo port calendar it shows that the "Inchcape special" is a ship with 2000 passengers and 965 ft long. The wonder is listed as 964 feet long and carries 2000 +/- a few hundred passengers, so its a perfect fit!!

I'm so excited. Now I need to start planning and hoping DCL comes through!

I hopes obit when I did a search on the wbpage it found one that showed this wonder in Hilo on different days in September of last year and then it said cancelled. And of course there was no Hawaii cruise even offered last year. So who knows. Maybe dcl reserves a spot just in case and then just cancels.

Just because it's fun to guess...

Do you think it's possible there are 2 cruises repositioning through Hawaii? First -Alaska/Vancouver to Hilo (9/13), Port 2 (9/14), Port 3 (9/15), Port 4 (9/16), Honolulu (9/17). Second - Honolulu (9/17), Port 3 (9/18), Port 2 (9/19), Hilo (9/20) then back to LA or wherever?

While a one way Vancouver/Hawaii cruise is possible. A Hawaii/LA cruise would violate the PVSA. If they wanted to do something like that it would have to be a Hawaii/Ensenada cruise.

Yeah, I figured the token Ensanada stop would be a given.
That would give each trip a stop in Kauai, Maui, possibly 2 stops on the big island, and Honolulu. Slightly shorter cruise with fewer sea days allowing DCL to essentially run a similar cruise twice (in reverse order). Seems like that would be a good financial move for DCL.

Well, not so much a token stop, as that would be where the passengers would have to disembark. Other cruiselines have done this and then bussed the passengers to the US.

Oh, you can't begin in Hawaii and end in LA? I gotcha. Yeah, I can't see DCL bussing ppl across the boarder. Bad show and all.

Trying to patiently wait for the remainder of the 2015 schedule to appear. I am really hoping this Los Angeles (or even San Diego) round trip to Hawaii appears.

I believe inchcape special was the same thing listed when the first Hawaiian cruise was being speculated about and they were the port agent for DCL in Hawaii. Oh and I noticed on the hilo one it lists the ship length. Will the wonder is 965 in length. Sent from my iPhone 5 using DISBoards

Repositioning to Australia for summer down under? Lol, I can only hope.

One-way cruises (embark in a US port, disembark in a different US port) must visit a "distant" foriegn port on the way. Mexican ports would not meet this requirement. The only itinerary where DCL does this is Panama Canal (distant port is Cartagena, Columbia or some other South American port).

Round trip cruises (leave/return to same US city) have to visit a foreign port, but it need not be "distant." For LA to Hawaii round trip, Ensenada is a common choice.

Cruises that embark in a foreign country and disembark in the US (or vice versa) are not subject to this requirement. So, Vancouver to Hawaii is OK. Hawaii to Ensenada is also OK.

Maybe they're testing the demand of the one-way cruises, so it could also be Vancouver-Honolulu and then reverse it Honolulu-Vancouver, followed by repositioning Vancouver-San Diego/Los Angeles if they didn't want to sail Honolulu-Ensenada.

So I wonder what does "Inchcape Special" mean and I did notice the length of the ship and pax count is pretty darn close to the Wonder's :yo-yo::yo-yo:arg this is driving me crazy lol 2015 cruise please come out!

If it does actually happen, I have a feeling it will be used as the Vancouver-S. California repositioning, followed immediately by a Panama Canal cruise to bring it east.

Unless.... pie in the sky thoughts....
One way Vancouver-Honolulu and then one way Honolulu - Sydney for an Aus/NZ repositioning for the winter season. ;)

That would have all us Aussies on :cloud9: pixiedust:pixiedust:

I am beyond excited for this cruise I only hope it comes true. I did the last Hawaii cruise in October 2012 and I must say it was AMAZING. I will be on this cruise once Disney announces it oh Disney please make us happy :yay:
