Disney Wonder Hawaii Sept. 2015

We had to cancel our summer 2014 Aulani DVC trip because airfare is just ridiculous…. so this would be a nice way to get there in 2015. Is it only rumored for fall (Sept-Dec) - meaning no summer months?

You will have airfare at least one way to or from Honolulu if it is a repo cruise.

too bad its in the fall. DD's boyfriend is a teacher so he wouldn't be able to take 2 weeks at that time.

Now the "Inchscape Special" is showing in Maui on 9/15 9/16, 9/18, 9/19. Very interesting. Sent from my iPhone 5 using DISBoards

So we have 9/17 for Honolulu, 9/13 and 9/20 for Hilo...

I disagree with luv2sleep. I don't think it's implying they're undecided on dates. I think it's pointing more towards 2 one-way cruises -- Vancounver to Honolulu and then Honolulu to either Vancouver or Ensenada, with each sailing offering an overnight stop in Maui (allowing for multiple luau options for port adventures).

If after all this it doesn't go, I'll have one very disappointed 11yo or 13 yo. Depending on the dates.

Just off the Fantasy this morning :headache:

I talked to the future cruise bookers the first morning, I was told that they have not heard anything as of yet about Hawaii, but expect the rest of 2015 to be released within the next 6-8 weeks.
The girl was sweet and said they would never tell her about Hawaii in advance cause she can't keep a secret.

We booked a dummy so we will at least get the $200 on board credit.

After looking at the port schedule for Maui I have to agree. It shows a ETA of 745 and not leaving till the next day at 1800. If this is the case I may rethink these cruises. I am not as excited about a one way as I would be a round trip.

I would be interested in a one-way so I could spend extra time before/after on one of the islands. A one day stop isn't enough for me.

I agree that a one way would be a nicer itinerary. Four or five days at sea one way would be fine, but nine or ten sea days in two weeks would be a bit much, even though I usually love sea days. It's not hard to find one way flights to and from Hawaii and then you could have the option of adding a land portion to the trip.

One day was just about enough for me. Not being a beach person I saw what I wanted at each stop then I was ready to move in to the next stop. I also wish if they overnights it would be in Honolulu and not Maui. I would love to check out the bar scene in Waikiki. Maybe I can just book back to back. We will see when they make the announcement.

I think a one way would be nice as then you could tack on a few days at Aulani!!

After going there on a free DVC tour set up on the first Hawaiian voyage, I came to the fast decision I will most likely (I don't believe in saying never) won't stay there anytime in the future. It's to far from anything. Nope. If I were to tack on a few nights it's in Waikiki. Besides I think what you are saying is the reasons for the one ways. Aulani is not doing well. I'm ok with one way, but I'm with you. I think I would have to pick a different area or island. Either way, I hope it is a go. :goodvibes

I was hoping for roundtrip also, I'll considering BTB depending upon the prices and how many days that works out to. But my guess is 20 days and the prices will knock me out . :worried:

Oh no!! Then I hope it's roundtrip so we can cruise again together. Familiar face would be nice :thumbsup2

The OBB benefits for that cruise expire 18 months from your booking date (so mid-August 2015). If the Hawaii itinerary follows the September dates we're seeing, it wouldn't qualify. You would need to have one of the "grandfathered" onboard bookings that expire at the end of November 2015 to use to get the OBC.

I have to agree. We went to Aulani last year. It's fine if you just want to stay on property, but the popular sites are quite far.

I feel just the opposite. I loved the fact that the Aulani was far away from Honolulu. In fact, if I ever return to Oahu.... I'll never step foot in Honolulu and especially not Waikiki. Just got back a week ago and you couldn't lay a yard stick down on that beach without hitting someone. That Ko Olina area was a slice of heaven.
