no problem! obviously i wasn't so thorough because i didn't really mention the kids' clubs. DH and i don't have kids so it's not on my radar. we do travel with friends with kids, though, and have other friends with kids who go on royal and disney so i know a little bit.

it's true the royal clubs are not open as many hours. i think they usually close for a couple of hours around lunch. they are free during the morning and day, but in the evening there's a charge of $6-8/hour. you can also get in-room babysitting, but it's more expensive - maybe $12/hour or so. it doesn't look like you have any super-small kids, but in case anyone who does is reading this, royal doesn't really have much free for kids under 3 - they have a nursery, but parents have to stay there with the kids. i do think the for-charge babysitters will watch babies and toddlers, though.

some of our friends' kids like disney's clubs better and some like royal better - i'm sure it depends on the ship, the kids' club employees, etc. royal also has teen clubs which are supposed to be pretty good. i don't know about activities being cancelled, but i think sometimes they may combine age groups if there are not enough in each tier.

to go along with that, i should mention that the pools on royal are generally much bigger than on the disney ships, and the small kids' pool area on the newer royal ships is pretty great - they have splash pads, a small lazy river, etc. your kids are probably too old for that, but i may or may not run through the splash pad once in a while myself...

Second how do i know how many fish extenders are going to be in total? Do they send you a list or something.

The first "D" stands for "dear" (i don't know why - i think it's an old message-board tradition) and the second letter stands for the person's relationship, so DH is dear husband, DW is dear wife, DS is dear son, DD is dear daughter, DGS is dear grandson (or sometimes godson), DDIL is dear daughter-in-law, etc etc. For kids, people sometimes put a number after to indicate their age. So, in your example above, DD3 means the writer has a 3-year-old daughter.

There will be a list for the fish extenders that has the cabin numbers and the amount of adults and kids in each cabin. usually the list "closes" (so you can't add any more people to it) a month or so before the cruise, so that participants know how many people to shop or make things for. Someone on this thread will take charge of the list eventually - a lot of the time it's the person who started the thread, though sometimes they can't do it so someone else takes over. If there are a lot of cabins, they will usually be split into groups of about 10-15 cabins each, so you can choose to do one group, or you can join both if you want to do more.

I am not sure if anyone is organizing a spreadsheet for all of the cabins interested in FE yet, and we are getting close!! I can work on this for us, but I do think we need a cutoff date, so we all have enough time to prepare our FE gifts. I was thinking 1/22 so that would give us all 3 weeks to finalize/personalize our gifts. Also, since this thread was started quite a while ago if everyone could confirm they still wish to participate I would appreciate it. If we don't hear back from someone by 1/22 we can eliminate them from our list.
Please let me know if you are still interested and I will add you to the spreadsheet.

We just booked this cruise. It will be my 4th. Also going on the Galveston Nov 6, 2015 cruise!! Whooopeeee! For this cruise I talked my best friend and her family into going. I will try to see if she wants to do the FE, although this is her first cruise. My family will have 2 staterooms.

awesome. thank you! i feel like a pest, but i already have 20 FE rooms to buy for from other social media, so i just want to make sure we've got enough time to get stuff printed for everyone.
